STRUM - An Interactive Computer System for Modeling Binary Relations

System identification and specification is essential in every systems study. The development of structural models (which describe the geometric relationships between the elements of the system) is an important part of this procedure. However, when the system is very complex or the number of elements is large it becomes difficult to construct such models without some technical assistance. In this paper, the authors describe an interactive computer system called STRUM which facilitates the structural modeling process. The use of the system (which is implemented on the IIASA VAX 11/780 computer) is illustrated by application to a specific example. The dynamics of modern Yekaterinburg youth political orientations

В статье представлены сведения об изменениях политических ориентаций современной молодежи Екатеринбурга в 2015-2016 гг. Показано, насколько политика интересна представителям молодого поколения. Охарактеризована степень поддержки молодежью Екатеринбурга деятельности руководства их города, Свердловской области и России. Описан уровень политического доверия молодых людей по отношению к местным, региональным и федеральным властям. Приведены данные об электоральной активности и предпочтениях екатеринбургской молодежи, в том числе относящиеся к выборам 2016 г.The article presents the data about the changing of modern Yekaterinburg youth political orientations in 2015-2016. The level of young generation representatives interesting to politics is showed. The Yekaterinburg youth supporting degree of their city, Sverdlovsk region and Russia guidance activity is characterized. Leaders or managers? What yekaterinburg young people think about modern political rulers

В статье приведены данные, характеризующие степень поддержки молодежью Екатеринбурга деятельности руководства их города, Свердловской области и России. Описан уровень политического доверия представителей молодого поколения местным, региональным и федеральным властям. Представлены сведения о том, кто из политиков и почему является в глазах молодежи политическим лидером, а кто – политическим менеджером. Рассмотрено возможное влияние подобных политических ориентаций представителей молодежи на исход выборов.The article presents the data characterizing to what extent Yekaterinburg young people support the activity of the guidance of their city, Sverdlovsk region and Russia. Use of the PLIF and LIP methods for definition of non-stationary temperature fields of water droplets

This study illustrates the results of experiments to determine the unsteady and non-uniform temperature fields of evaporating water droplets. It is shown that during the warming up of the droplet inside it an inhomogeneous temperature field is formed. In the droplet trace, formation of a region with lower (relative to the gas flow) temperatures of the vapor-gas mixture is observed. The experiments were carried out for droplets with initial radii of 1-2 mm. The speed of the air flow was 0.5-5 m/s. The temperatures of the gaseous medium varied in the range of 20-600 °C. During the research, modern panoramic methods of non-contact flow diagnostics such as “Planar Laser Induced Fluorescence” and “Laser Induced Phosphorescence” (LIP) were used
