Helium implanted FeCr alloys studied by positron annihilation lifetime technique

The influence of chromium on the radiation damage resistance of iron based alloys has been studied using conventional positron lifetime technique and a pulsed low energy positron beam. To simulate high neutron flux, the helium implantation has been used. Different levels of helium doses (6.24·10¹⁷–3.12·10¹⁸ cm⁻²) corresponding to a local damage of up to 90 dpa were accumulated in a thin 1 nm) and small vacancy clusters together with the initial dislocations and small point defects.Досліджувався вплив хрому на стійкість до радіаційного пошкодження сплавів на основі заліза за допомогою загальновизнаного методу вимірювання часу життя позитронів та імпульсного пучка позитронів низької енергії. Різні рівні доз гелію (6,24·10¹⁷– 3,12·101¹⁸см⁻²), що відповідають локальному пошкодженню до 90 зсувів/атом, накопичувались в області товщиною не менш 1 мкм. У даній роботі використовувались чотири бінарних сплави Fe-Cr (2,6; 4,6; 8,4; 11,6 ваг.% Cr). Отримані результати показують, що хром має значний вплив на розмір та розподіл створених дефектів. Характер цих дефектів визначався у вигляді великих пор (>1 нм) і малих вакансійних кластерів поряд з початковими дислокаціями і малими точковими дефектамиИсследовалось влияние хрома на стойкость к радиационному повреждению сплавов на основе железа с помощью общепринятого метода измерения времени жизни позитронов и импульсного пучка позитронов низкой энергии. Различные уровни доз гелия (6,24·10¹⁷– 3,12·101¹⁸см⁻²), соответствующие локальному повреждению до 90 смещ./атом, накапливались в области толщиной менее 1 мкм. В настоящей работе использовались четыре бинарных сплава Fe-Cr (2,6; 4,6; 8,4; 11,6 вес. % Cr ). Полученные результаты показывают, что хром оказывает значительное влияние на размер и распределение созданных дефектов. Характер этих дефектов определялся в виде больших пор (>1 нм) и малых вакансионных кластеров наряду с начальными дислокациями и малыми точечными дефектами

The carrot classification by using expert system

W pracy przedstawiono komputerowy system wspomagania decyzji składający się z dwu modułów: pierwszy dotyczy klasyfikacji marchwi ze względu na jej przeznaczenie rynkowe oraz drugi dotyczy kwalifikowania danego gatunku marchwi do odpowiedniej klasy jakości. System ten został opracowany w formie systemu ekspertowego oraz bazy danych w postaci plików tekstowych, w których zawarte są dodatkowe wyjaśnienia. Pokazano również dziedziny, w których systemy doradcze znajdują zastosowanie, zalety SE, a także ich ograniczenia. Zwrócono również uwagę na ocenę jakości systemów ekspertowych.This paper presents the possibility to use computer aided knowledge engineering for carrot classification. Two pieces of the program were showed: 1st helps to make classification of carrot by productive destination group, 2nd helps to make classification of carrot by qualititative classes. The computer program was programmed as an expert system as well as text files which carry knowledge databases with additional explanation. The paper showed the scientific spheres where expert systems are useful, advantages, disadvantages and limits of using expert systems as well as the estimate quality of expert programs were mentioned. W pracy przedstawiono możliwość zastosowania baz danych do budowy internetowej platformy dotyczącej inżynierii rolniczej. W skład opracowanej platformy wchodzą dwa systemy bazodanowe. Pierwszy z nich udostępnia do edycji poprzez Internet bazę danych dotyczącą marchwi. Drugi jest systemem publikacji ogłoszeń dotyczących sprzedaży i kupna owoców oraz warzyw, pełniącym funkcję giełdy internetowej. Effect of the apple chips shape on drying time in the condition of forced convection

W pracy przedstawiono wpływ podstawowych parametrów suszenia krajanki jabłek na przebieg procesu. Do badań użyto jabłek odmiany „Idared”. Owoce krojone były na: ósemki (jabłko zostało pokrojone na osiem równych części), plastry o grubości 4 mm i kostkę o wymiarach 10 mm x 10 mm x 10 mm. Suszenie odbywało się w 3 temperaturach: 50, 60 i 70°C. Wyniki badań przedstawiono graficznie w formie wykresów.The paper describes the effect of basic parameters of drying the apple chips on the process progress. “Idared” apples have been used for the experiment. The fruits were cut into octants (into eight equal pieces), slices 4 mm thick and blocks dimensioned 10 mm x 10 mm x 10 mm. Drying was carried out in 3 temperatures: 50, 60 and 70°C. The Internet database to pumpkin classification

Artykuł przedstawia opracowanie bazy wiedzy do klasyfikacji dyni ze względu na jej przeznaczenie rynkowe. Baza została oparta na technologii internetowej wykorzystującej PHP oraz MySQL. W języku PHP napisano oprogramowanie do generowania dynamicznych stron internetowych. System MySQL posłużył do posadowienia danych w relacyjnej bazie danych. Zaproponowano także pakiet WAMP do zarządzania i obsługi bazy wiedzy. Celem pracy było stworzenie bazy wiedzy, która w przeciwieństwie do typowej bazy wiedzy wchodzącej w skład systemu ekspertowego jest autonomiczną aplikacją. Zapewnienia ona równoczesny dostęp nieograniczonej grupie użytkowników, bowiem oparta jest na serwerze wielodostępowym i wielowątkowym. Zadaniem stworzonej aplikacji jest wspomaganie szybkiego podejmowania decyzji w przedsiębiorstwach przetwórstwa owoców i warzyw.This paper focuses on creating a database of information regarding pumpkins. It contains information of all species and varieties, their wide application in food, feed, medical and cosmetic industries as well as gives guidelines of its use as an ornamental plant. This database is created as a relational database, which means that information is divided to particular relationships and each of them contains different content. These relationships are interrelated and depending on the choice of search, appropriate information can be found. “Pumpkin database” was created using PHP and MySQL. PHP is a popular programming language designed mainly to generate dynamic web pages for searching information and MySQL is a relational database management system (RDBMS – Relational Database Management System). They are both multi-platform tools, they can be run on operating systems such as Windows and Linux, they are free software’s and cooperate with each other. Aforementioned programs gave the possibility of creating a database available to any user using a computer connected to the Internet. Some users are granted with advanced user rights and are able to insert new information regarding pumpkins or modify already existing content without the obligation of MySQL knowledge. For the need of this paper the created database was named “pumpkinbase” (pol. bazadynia). The created database is a standalone application in contrast to the typical knowledge base forming part of an expert system. It is based on web technology thanks to PHP. Dynamic generation of web pages is based on scripts using three languages: PHP, HTML and SQL. Web page was written in HTML, and PHP code generates this page. To communicate with the database SQL language was used but the queries are generated by PHP. PHP language is a connecting element for HTML and SQL, which themselves are not compatible with each other. The database related on MySQL and HTML gives the ability for quick verification and information update, e.g. about the pumpkin species. For the convenient use of “pumpkinbase” WAMP application was proposed, which consists of aforementioned software’s and programming languages. Thereby users of the database do not need programming skills to update the content of information regarding pumpkins. This database can help to increase the dissemination of knowledge about pumpkins, which may result in increased interest in this particular vegetable by farmers and producers of healthy food
