Reference Sites into a single forum. The overarching goals
are to promote cooperation, share and transfer good
practice and solutions in the development and scaling up
of health and care strategies, policies and service delivery
models, while at the same time supporting the action
groups in their work. The RSCN aspires to be recognized
by the EU Commission as the principal forum and
authority representing all EIP on AHA Reference Sites.
The RSCN will contribute to achieve the goals of the EIP
on AHA by improving health and care outcomes for
citizens across Europe, and the development of sustainable
economic growth and the creation of jobs
Searching for the idea of the modern city. Social and indvidual needs
The article shows the problem of urban planning and its social aspects against history of city planning, especially in 19th and 20th century. The city has been changing constantly during centuries. First cities were built to protect inhabitants, to develope the trade, or give people their homes (absolute rules, nobility, multitude). A large majority of inhabitants were and still are ordinary people, but it is not until 20th century that it was possible for them to participate in housing development. Nowadays there are many realisations of settlements, where high buildings are very near to each other, like the space between them is unwanted. But will they find inhabitants? It seems that in 21th century awareness of potential users is much higher and there are more possibilities of different living types
Stanisław Niemczyk (re)creator of the architecture
W niniejszym artykule poruszono aspekt twórczego projektowania architektonicznego. In the article was presented the aspect of creative designing in architecture. It depends on the knowledge of craft, material, but also on understanding functional and social needs of future users. The following considerations are made on the example of buildings, designed by Stanisław Niemczyk
Art in the landscape – International Artistic Actions in Wola Sękowa. Folk University of Artistic Handicraft
Every year in many places take place artistic actions, which are necessary for inspiration, exchange of experiences and for spending time with interesting people from different environments. But there are very few uniting so many fields of art, which are later visible in the village or commune. International Artistic Actions in Wola Sękowa join the idea of folk university, social art and education by art. Works (mainly sculptures) which are created during a week time, have literal or symbolic message, they give the new meaning to a place and serve the local community. Artists respect the existing context of a place, the landscape and culture of this region which was experienced by history. But on the other hand they reflect the contemporary art tendencies or answering nagging questions of our times
Theodor Talowski and his "Villa under the billy goat" in Bochnia
"Willa pod Kozłem" (1895 r.) to jedna z wielu realizacji T. Talowskiego, jednego z najwybitniejszych polskich architektów z przełomu XIX i XX w. Wejście do willi wieńczy malowniczy szczyt, z herbem "jelita" i głową kozła. Nadbudowa z lat 30. Willa jest wybitnym przykładem polskiej architektury spomiędzy historyzmem a secesją."Villa under the billy goat", built in 1895 in Bochnia is one of the most interesting work of Theodor Talowski, who was very remarkable, polish architect from the turn of the century. Characteristic element of this building is picturesque gable of the main entrance to villa with the blazon and head of the billy goat on the coping. Despite the additional storey, built in 30's, villa did not lose it's character and til nowadays it is a building with special, artistic values. Noteworthy are stone details of the gable, arcades of the entrance and portals, which all are works of art. This building is unrepeatable example of polish architecture from among historicism and Art Nouveau
Wooden roman-catholic and orthodox churches in Carpathian landscape
Tradycje ciesielskie
kształtowały tu swoisty „krajobraz kultury drewna”. Powstało tym samym bogate źródło
symboli kształtujących lokalną tożsamość – nie tylko kulturową. Nośnikiem tych znaczeń
w krajobrazie stawały się elementy materialne i niematerialne, wynikające z wielokulturowości
opisywanego obszaru. The most varied sacral wooden buildings are in the Carpathians region, where the forms,
constructions and details were differentiated. Rich craftsman's tradition result in Culture of
wood of the landscape. It became for us the source of symbols an meanings, which create
local identity – not only in cultural aspect. Signs of this identity are material and intangible,
which came from multicultural aspect of southeastern Poland
Tradition and the present in architecture of rural areas in Norway and Northern Russia
W Norwegii
nastąpiły duże zmiany w sposobie użytkowania terenów wiejskich. Nowe czasy,
a z nimi nowe technologie uprawy roślin i hodowli zwierząt wymagały także nowych rozwiązań
przestrzennych. W Rosji obszary wiejskie również podlegały przemianom –
zwłaszcza w XIX i na początku XX wieku. W obu krajach, jednak z różnych przyczyn,
przetrwało wiele cennych i godnych ochrony reliktów architektoniczno-krajobrazowych.Cultural landscape and its development in Northern Russia and Norway are good examples
to make the comparison. In Norway changes in agriculture, idustrial development
and modern life caused changes in traditional households. Since the middle of the 19th
century, the rural areas in Russia have changed considerably. Both countries due to different
reasons, cultural landscape and traditional, wooden architecture are well preserved
Wooden village houses in northern Russia
Since ancient times timber was basic building material in Poland, Russia or in Scandinavia. It was especially important in rural architecture. In Northern Russia there are preserved many wooden villages with buildings from 19th and from the beginning of 20th century. They are not only an example of traditional wooden architecture, but also the treasury of knowledge about customs, culture and history of Russian people. Due to the fact that urban plan of villages and the buildings itself did not change from more than one hundred years, architectural researches in this region are so exciting
Mała architektura sakralna w krajobrazie podkarpackiej wsi. Na przykładzie Czarnorzek i Wydrza
The characteristic feature of Polish rural landscape is the presence of wayside crosses and shrines which create the unusual atmosphere of countryside. They date back to the early years of Christianity in Poland. At the beginning they were built in former pagan places of worship. Wayside shrines have various architectural forms. In Sub-Carpathian region there are five basic types of wayside shrines: chapel shrine, cabinet shrine, wall shrine, column shrine and pedestal shrine. In those shrines, depending on type, sacred figures were placed in different places – as a crowning in cabinets or in niches?. The presence of shrines and crosses in the landscape of countryside is connected with their various functions. The most important was and still is the sacral function. The surrounding of shrines could be considered in spatial, symbolic and functional context. The examples of small sacral architecture in Sub-Carpathian villages are shrines situated in Czarnorzeki and Wydrze. In Czarnorzeki most common are stone column shrines and in Wydrze chapel shrines. Najważniejsza z nich to funkcja sakralna. Otoczenie małej architektury można rozpatrywać w kontekście przestrzennym, symbolicznym i funkcjonalnym.
Development trends of semantic web information technology: the case study of organisational structure ontology
The paper describes stages of development of the Semantic Web, classifies them,
and describes proposed methods of utilizing the Internet in the future. It delves into
issues pertaining the Web-based technology, and the mechanisms which, perfected
and popularized, will lead to creation of Web 4.0. The observed rapid increase in the
amount of data available on the Internet leads to difficulties in fast selection of content
relevant to the user. The nature of the human language causes considerable obstacles
for machine pattern recognition of information contained within the given
content. This results in slow and inefficient extraction of valuable data. The basis for
proper machine recognition of patterns contained on the Internet is the process of
creating ontologies. The paper describes the most important features of ontologies
and methods of describing information in such a way that its structure is clear to
agents and multi-agent systems. The authors also present the issues of improving the
quality of human life by proper management of information on the Internet. As its
basis the paper uses a case study of ontology of City Hall of Częstochowa
