Eight million Ukrainians have taken refuge in the European Union. Many have asthma and/or allergic rhinitis and/or urticaria, and around 100,000 may have a severe disease. Cultural and language barriers are a major obstacle to appropriate management. Two widely available mHealth apps, MASK-air庐 (Mobile Airways Sentinel NetworK) for the management of rhinitis and asthma and CRUSE庐 (Chronic Urticaria Self Evaluation) for patients with chronic spontaneous urticaria, were updated to include Ukrainian versions that make the documented information available to treating physicians in their own language. The Ukrainian patients fill in the questionnaires and daily symptom-medication scores for asthma, rhinitis (MASK-air) or urticaria (CRUSE) in Ukrainian. Then, following the GDPR, patients grant their physician access to the app by scanning a QR code displayed on the physician's computer enabling the physician to read the app contents in his/her own language. This service is available freely. It takes less than a minute to show patient data to the physician in the physician's web browser. UCRAID鈥攄eveloped by ARIA (Allergic Rhinitis and its Impact on Asthma) and UCARE (Urticaria Centers of Reference and Excellence)鈥攊s under the auspices of the Ukraine Ministry of Health as well as European (European Academy of Allergy and Clinical immunology, EAACI, European Respiratory Society, ERS, European Society of Dermatologic Research, ESDR) and national societies

Produktywnosc mieszanek w zaleznosci od doboru dominanta i czestotliwosci zbioru w warunkach gleb naplywowych doliny Wisly

W latach 1980-1983 przeprowadzono badania nad produktywno艣ci膮 mieszanek w zale偶no艣ci od udzia艂u wybranych dominant贸w i cz臋stotliwo艣ci zbioru. Zwi臋kszenie cz臋stotliwo艣ci u偶ytkowania powodowa艂o przede wszystkim wyra藕ny wzrost zag臋szczenia runi. Sk艂ad gatunkowy mieszanek nie mia艂 wi臋kszego wp艂ywu na g臋sto艣膰 i produktywno艣膰.Studies on productivity of grass mixtures as dependent on percentage of chosen dominants and frequency of harvest were conducted during the years 1980-1983. An increase of harvest frequency caused predominatly a significant increase of greenness growth density. Species composition of mixtures did not have any effect on the density and productivity

W do艣wiadczeniu zlokalizowanym na zachwaszczonym pastwisku z du偶ym udzia艂em 艣mia艂ka darniowego badano wp艂yw zastosowanych chemicznych 艣rodk贸w chwastob贸jczych na sk艂ad florystyczny runi. Spo艣r贸d stosowanych herbicyd贸w najbardziej korzystne zmiany w szacie ro艣linnej pastwiska powodowa艂 chloran sodu. Niszczy艂 on k臋py 艣mia艂ka a zarazem nie hamowa艂 rozwoju traw warto艣ciowych. The effect of chemical weed killers on floristic composition of sward was studied in an experiment located on a pasture infested with weeds with a high percentage of Deschampsia caespitosa L. Out of all herbicides applied, sodium chlorate caused most benevolent changes in the plant composition. It killed the Deschampsia tufts not retarding the development of valuable grasses. Anti-twitch also limited the Deschampsia development, but at the same moment induced a mass appearance of weeds from the dicot class. All in all it resulted in a significant decrease of the pasture dry matter yield

Fully-polymeric pH sensor realized by means of a single-step soft embossing technique

We present here an electrochemical sensor microsystem for the monitoring of pH. The all-polymeric device is comprised of a cyclic olefin copolymer substrate, a 200 nm-thin patterned layer of conductive polymer (PEDOT), and a 70 nm electropolymerized layer of a pH sensitive conductive polymer (polyaniline). The patterning of the fluidic (microfluidic channels) and conductive (wiring and electrodes) functional elements was achieved with a single soft PDMS mold via a single embossing step process. A post-processing treatment with ethylene glycol assured the functional enhancement of the electrodes, as demonstrated via an electrical and electrochemical characterization. A surface modification of the electrodes was carried out, based on voltammetric electropolymerization, to obtain a thin layer of polyaniline. The mechanism for pH sensing is based on the redox reactions of the polyaniline layer caused by protonation. The sensing performance of the microsystem was finally validated by monitoring its potentiometric response upon exposure to a relevant range of pHMicro and Nano Engineerin
