    Era pandemi Covid-19 mempengaruhi hasil produksi dan proses kerja seluruh industri. Perusahaan ditantang untuk beradaptasi secara cepat terhadap situasi yang tidak terkendali, seperti melakukan efisiensi pengendalian pada persediaan bahan baku. Bagi perusahaan aksesoris elektronik untuk otomotif dalam kondisi demikian perlu mengkaji ulang perencanaan dan pengendalian bahan baku agar lebih optimal. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan studi perbandingan antara metode Economic Order Quantity dan metode konvensional perusahaan. Tujuan dari perbandingan ini yaitu mendapatkan metode terbaik dalam melakukan perencanaan persediaan bahan baku Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa untuk meramalkan permintaan digunakan model ARIMA terbaiknya yaitu (0,1,0) (0,1,0). Metode perencanaan persediaan bahan baku yang lebih baik adalah metode EOQ dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional. Hal in ditunjukkan dengan Total Inventory Cost (TIC) pada metode EOQ lebih kecil dibandingkan metode konvensioanl. Metode EOQ menurunkan Total Inventory Cost pada metode konvensional sebesar 89%.     Prevalence and causes of vision loss in Latin America and the Caribbean in 2015: magnitude, temporal trends and projections

    Objective To estimate the prevalence and causes of blindness and vision impairment for distance and near in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) in 2015 and to forecast trends to 2020. Methods A meta-analysis from a global systematic review of 283 cross-sectional, population-representative studies from published and unpublished sources from 1980 to 2014 in the Global Vision Database included 17 published and 6 unpublished studies from LAC. Results In 2015, across LAC, age-standardised prevalence was 0.38% in all ages and 1.56% in those over age 50 for blindness; 2.06% in all ages and 7.86% in those over age 50 for moderate and severe vision impairment (MSVI); 1.89% in all ages and 6.93% in those over age 50 for mild vision impairment and 39.59% in all ages and 45.27% in those over 50 for near vision impairment (NVI). In 2015, 117.86 million persons were vision impaired; of those 2.34 million blind, 12.46 million with MSVI, 11.34 million mildly impaired and 91.72 million had NVI. Cataract is the most common cause of blindness. Undercorrected refractive-error is the most common cause of vision impairment. Conclusions These prevalence estimates indicate that one in five persons across LAC had some degree of vision loss in 2015. We predict that from 2015 to 2020, the absolute numbers of persons with vision loss will increase by 12% to 132.33 million, while the all-age age-standardised prevalence will decrease for blindness by 15% and for other distance vision impairment by 8%. All countries need epidemiologic research to establish accurate national estimates and trends.     Causes of Blindness and Visual Impairment among Students in Integrated Schools for the Blind in Nepal

    Purpose: To identify the causes of blindness and visual impairment among students in integrated schools for the blind in Nepal. Methods: A total of 778 students from all 67 integrated schools for the blind in Nepal were examined using the World Health Organization/Prevention of Blindness Eye Examination Record for Children with Blindness and Low Vision during the study period of 3 years. Results: Among 831 students enrolled in the schools, 778 (93.6%) participated in the study. Mean age of students examined was 13.7 years, and the male to female ratio was 1.4:1. Among the students examined, 85.9% were blind, 10% had severe visual impairment and 4.1% were visually impaired. The cornea (22.8%) was the most common anatomical site of visual impairment, its most frequent cause being vitamin A deficiency, followed by the retina (18.4%) and lens (17.6%). Hereditary and childhood factors were responsible for visual loss in 27.9% and 22.0% of students, respectively. Etiology could not be determined in 46% of cases. Overall, 40.9% of students had avoidable causes of visual loss. Vision could be improved to a level better than 6/60 in 3.6% of students refracted. Conclusion: More than one third of students were visually impaired for potentially avoidable reasons, indicating lack of eye health awareness and eye care services in the community. The cause of visual impairment remained unknown in a large number of students, which indicates the need for introduction of modern diagnostic tools.</p
