The Effects of Project-Based Learning and Cooperative Learning Group Investigation Towards Student's Concept Mastery at SMA in Respiratory System

This research aimed to investigate the effect of using project based learning (PjBL) toward student's concept learning of exact eleven grade senior high school students in respiratory system. The design of the study was quasi-experimental research design with pre-test and post-test control group design.The population of this research was all students in exact eleven grade of SMA Medan Academic Year 2014/2015 which consist of 11 classes. Taking sample done by using purposive sampling technique and the classes chosen are three classes i.e. XI MIA 10 (PjBL), XIMIA 7 (GI) and XIMIA 5 (Conventional). Research instrument are multiple choices (C1-C6) for collecting the student's concept mastery aspect. The statistical assumption test revealed that the data were normally distributed and homogent. Hypothesis analysed using Analysis of Covariant (ANACOVA) followed by Tukey's test assisted by SPSS 19.00. Research result showed that learning models effect the student's concept mastery significantly. Student's concept mastery was 80,05± 4, 23 for project-based learning class, and it differs significantly towards group investigation class (73,75 ± 5,95) (P=0,000), and conventional class (70,77±5,56) (P=0,000). Group investigation also differs significantly towards conventional learning (P=0,023). The result showed that student's concept mastery on project-based learning class was higher than group investigation and conventional learning class

Cost Minimization Model of Gas Transmission Line for Indonesian SIJ Pipeline Network

Optimization of Indonesian SIJ gas pipeline network is being discussed here. Optimum pipe diameters together with the corresponding pressure distribution are obtained from minimization of total cost function consisting of investment and operating costs and subjects to some physical (Panhandle A and Panhandle B equations) constraints. Iteration technique based on Generalized Steepest-Descent and fourth order Runge-Kutta method are used here. The resulting diameters from this continuous optimization are then rounded to the closest available discrete sizes. We have also calculated toll fee along each segment and safety factor of the network by determining the pipe wall thickness, using ANSI B31.8 standard. Sensitivity analysis of toll fee for variation of flow rates is shown here. The result will gives the diameter and compressor size and compressor location that feasible to use for the SIJ pipeline project. The Result also indicates that the east route cost relatively less expensive than the west cost

Hubungan antara Dukungan Keluarga dengan Kemampuan Perawatan Diri (Self Care) pada Pasien Pasca Stroke di RSUD Pirngadi Kota Medan

Stroke is a condition of brain experiencing neurodegenerative disorders such as local or global, occuring in sudden emergence, progressive, and fast. Impaired nerve function in stroke caused by circulatory disorders of the brain non-traumatic. Post-stroke patients need support and help the family in the treatment himself. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support with self-care skills  in patients with post-stroke. The study design is analytic survey with cross sectional approach. The study populations were 40 people and samples of this study were all post-stroke patients who were undergoing rehabilitation of physiotherapy with drawn by saturated sampling technique. The results showed that 47.5% of respondents got enough family support, and 55% of respondents have the ability of self-care with some aid. Based on the test results from Spearman Rank correlation, family support with self-care skills  has a correlation coefficient of 0.38 and Sig. (2-tailed) 0.01, meaning there is a relationship between family support and self-care skills on post-stroke patients in the Royal Prima Hospital Medan. In conclusion, this study shows that family support and self-care skills strongly influence at the level of the patient\u27s recovery. It is hoped that families to be more attentive to the needs and provide optimal support either support of awards/emotional, facilities and support information

Pengaruh Nilai Tukar, Inflasi dan Jumlah Uang Beredar terhadap Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG) di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) Tahun 1994-2013

Capital market in Indonesia is an emerging market which in its development is very vulnerable to macroeconomic condition in general. Macroeconomic condition is one of the factors that affect the performance of the capital market. This study aims to empirically examine the effectof macro variables (exchange rate, inflation and money supply) towardsIHSG (Indonesia Stock Exchange Composite Index) in BEI. This study used a secondary data type. The analytical method used was the method of quantitative analysis using a multiple regression analysis with SPSS version 18.0. The result showed a simultaneous result between the effect of exchange rate, inflation and the number of circulating money supply into IHSG (Composite Stock Price Index)in the period of 1994-2013 with F value was 76.65, sig 0.000, and value of R2 was 0,923which means 92.3% of IHSG in BEI was influenced by exchange rate, inflation and the money supply, while the remaining 7.7% was influenced by other factors that werent explained in this studyKeywords : Exchange rate, Inflation, Money Supply, Composite Stock Price Inde

Pengaruh Buku Manajemen Arsip Perguruan Tinggi terhadap Hasil Belajar Kearsipan Mahasiswa Administrasi Perkantoran. Peningkatan hasil belajar Mata Kuliah Kearsipan mahasiswa Administrasi Perkantoran, Fakultas Ekonomi, Universitas Negeri Medan menjadi sasaran utama dari penelitian ini. Penelitian ini merupakan kelanjutan dari penelitian sebelumnya tentang pengembangan buku Manajemen Arsip Perguruan Tinggi. Metode eksperimen kuasi digunakan untuk melihat dampak dari pengembangan buku Manajemen Arsip Perguruan Tinggi terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa pada Mata Kuliah Kerasipan. Mahasiswa Program Studi Administrasi Perkantoran yang mengikuti mata kuliah Manajemen Kearsipan berjumlah 31 orang merupakan sampel dalam penelitian ini. Uji-t dilakukan untuk menganalisis dua kelompok dari data satu kelompok sampel berpasangan melalui perbandingkan data sebelum (pretest) dengan sesudah (post test) perlakuan dari satu kelompok sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Buku Manajemen Arsip Perguruan Tinggi memberikan efek terhadap hasil belajar kearsipan Mahasiswa Administrasi Perkantoran, Jurusan Ekonomi, Fakultas Ekonomi, Universitas Negeri Medan. Buku teks yang mengandung konsep dan prosedur pengelolaan arsip aktif dan inaktif serta klasifikasi dan jadwal retensi arsip akan membantu mahasiswa untuk menguasai konsep pengeloaan arsip aktif dan inaktif dengan lebih mudah

Analisis Pendapatan Petani Karet Pola Swadaya di Kecamatan Pangkalan Kuras Kabupaten Pelalawan

Pattern swadaya farmer's is development rubber plantation by society conducted of farmer self supporting is not intervention government. The purpose of this research is to analyze the income of rubber farmers swadaya pattern and eficiency farming of rubber farmers swadaya in pangkalan kuras sub-district pelalawan regency with consideration that basis most living of resident is rubber farmer cleanse sub-district. The research for 5 monts, started on February until August 2015. The analysis used is income analysis, return cost ratio (RCR) analyse. The result of research showed that net income rubber farmer swadaya pattern is Rp14.959.837,55 with the total cost swadaya farmers is Rp14.323.227,56 by ha/year and the total revenue swadaya farmers is Rp29.283.065,11 ha/year. The average value RCR of rubber farmers swadaya pattern is 1,59 its mean the value that are profitable with value RCR>1

Analysis of Pb and Zn Pollutant Concentration in the Water, Sediment and the Meat of Cerithidea Obtusa From the Tanjung Pasir Village, Tanah Merah Sub-District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province

The Nyiur and Enok Rivers merged and form a single river mouth in the Tanjung Pasir Village. Around the river mouth, however, many industrial and shipping activities may produce Pb and Zn pollutant that enter the water, accumulated in the sediment as well as in the meat of benthic organisms such as Cerithidea obtusa. To understand the concentration of Pb and Zn in the water, sediment and the snail, a research has been conducted on March 2017. There are 3 stations, around 3 km before the outlet of PT Sambu, in the outlet of PT Sambu and 3 km of PT Sambu. Samplings were conducted 3 times, once/ 2 days. Results shown that the highest concentration of Pb and Zn in water (0.0543 mg/L and 0.1767 mg/L), sediment (1.7469 ppm and 3.2720 ppm) and C. obtusa (4.9085 mg/kg and 8.1990 mg/kg) was in the station II
