Current-Processing Current-Controlled Universal Biquad Filter
This paper presents a current-processing current-controlled universal biquad filter. The proposed filter employs only two current controlled current conveyor transconductance amplifiers (CCCCTAs) and two grounded capacitors. The proposed configuration can be used either as a single input three outputs (SITO) or as three inputs single output (TISO) filter. The circuit realizes all five different standard filter functions i.e. low-pass (LP), band-pass (BP), high-pass (HP), band-reject (BR) and all-pass (AP). The circuit enjoys electronic control of quality factor through the single bias current without disturbing pole frequency. Effects of non-idealities are also discussed. The circuit exhibits low active and passive sensitivity figures. The validity of proposed filter is verified through computer simulations using PSPICE
Hydrodynamic signatures of stationary Marangoni-driven surfactant transport
We experimentally study steady Marangoni-driven surfactant transport on the
interface of a deep water layer. Using hydrodynamic measurements, and without
using any knowledge of the surfactant physico-chemical properties, we show that
sodium dodecyl sulphate and Tergitol 15-S-9 introduced in low concentrations
result in a flow driven by adsorbed surfactant. At higher surfactant
concentration, the flow is dominated by the dissolved surfactant. Using
Camphoric acid, whose properties are {\it a priori} unknown, we demonstrate
this method's efficacy by showing its spreading is adsorption dominated
Flow behavior at different shear rates for dry powders
Using Discrete Element Simulations (DEM), an effort is made to study the so called “Split bottom ring shear cell” where a slow, quasi-static deformation leads to wide shear bands. Density, velocity and deformation gradients as well as structure and stress tensors, can be computed by a single simulation, by applying time and (local) space averaging. Here, we focus on different shear rates by increasing the rate of rotation of the system
