    A method is described which allows the determination of arsenic in organometallic compounds following decomposition by the oxygen flask. Benzoyl peroxide is employed as a oxidizing aid in the combustion and also it prevents the formation of platinum-arsenic alioys. The combustion products are absorbed in a dilute iodine solution to ensure cornpìete oxi dation to As(V). The final determination of arsenic is performed by spec trophotometric determination of the arseno-molybdenum complex for med by treatrnent with an ammonium rnolybdate solution followed by reduetion with hydrazine sulphate. The proposed micro method is simple, rapid, and highiy reproducibile

    Complexes of 1,8-naphthalene-bis(dimethylarsine) (Nas) with Ni^I^I of the type Ni(Nas)2X2(X=Cl4,NO3)Ni(Nas)_2X_2 (X=Cl_4-, NO_3-) are reported. The complexes exist in two different form: one orange and the other blu.
