Esperando o futuro: a maternidade na adolescência Awaiting the future: teenage motherhood

Este artigo é parte de um projeto que pretende avaliar o lugar da maternidade na constituição da subjetividade de um grupo de adolescentes. Parte da hipótese de que a gravidez na adolescência só se tornou um problema político e social dentro de uma biopolítica voltada para a produção e reprodução do corpo social que pressupõe a maternidade como um projeto racional. Nesse contexto, a gravidez na adolescência torna-se um problema de saúde pública, e os discursos sobre o tema adotam um tom homogeneizante e estigmatizante, acentuando seus aspectos negativos. A pesquisa, realizada com adolescentes de camadas populares entre 16 e 18 anos de idade, permite questionar esses discursos. Apontou a maternidade como um acontecimento fundamental para a constituição da subjetividade dessas jovens, possibilitando a construção de ideais e a articulação de um projeto de futuro.<br>This paper is part of a research that aims to evaluate the place of motherhood in the constitution of subjectivity in a group of teenagers. It begins with the hypotheses that teenage pregnancy has become a political and social problem, inside a bio-politic targeting the production and reproduction of the social body. In this context, teenage pregnancy becomes a public health problem and the speeches about the subject tend to assume a homogenizing and stigmatizing tone, punctuating its negatives aspects. A research developed with teenagers from poor communities, between 16 and 18 years old, allows us to question these speeches. The research pointed out motherhood as a fundamental event in the constitution of these young women subjectivities. In fact, motherhood makes possible for them to built new ideals, and articulates a plan for the future

Os destinos da diferença sexual na cultura contemporânea The fate of sexual difference in contemporary culture

Parte-se de uma reflexão sobre as mudanças ocorridas no campo das sexualidades como conseqüência do movimento feminista nos últimos 50 anos, principalmente a ruptura das fronteiras entre homem-público e mulher-privado, para, a partir daí, demonstrar como deslocamentos do feminino em meio à crise do masculino constituem um novo topos para pensar a diferença entre os sexos na cultura contemporânea. Em seguida, com base em algumas das principais teorias sobre a questão da diferença na atualidade, procura-se pensar que não estaríamos nem mais em um território totalmente ancorado na 'dominação masculina', nem tampouco em um terreno caracterizado pela total 'indiferença'. Uma nova possibilidade de diferenciação se anuncia e com ela um novo esboço do feminino.<br>This study starts out considering the changes which have occurred in the field of sexualities as a consequence of the feminist movement of the past 50 years, mainly the collapse of frontiers between man-public and woman-private. From this point, it demonstrates how the displacements of the feminine, in the midst of the crisis of the masculine, constitute a new topos to think the difference between the sexes in contemporary culture. The study proceeds with the idea, based on some of the main theories about the issue of difference nowadays, that we are not in a territory which is totally anchored by &#8216;masculine domination&#8217;, neither in one characterized by total &#8216;indifference&#8217;.
