The lattice gluon propagator in renormalizable gauges
We study the SU(3) gluon propagator in renormalizable gauges
implemented on a symmetric lattice with a total volume of (3.25 fm) for
values of the guage fixing parameter up to . As expected, the
longitudinal gluon dressing function stays constant at its tree-level value
. Similar to the Landau gauge, the transverse gauge gluon
propagator saturates at a non-vanishing value in the deep infrared for all
values of studied. We compare with very recent continuum studies and
perform a simple analysis of the found saturation with a dynamically generated

Universality class for bootstrap percolation with on the cubic lattice
We study the bootstrap percolation model on a cubic lattice, using
Monte Carlo simulation and finite-size scaling techniques. In bootstrap
percolation, sites on a lattice are considered occupied (present) or vacant
(absent) with probability or , respectively. Occupied sites with less
than occupied first-neighbours are then rendered unoccupied; this culling
process is repeated until a stable configuration is reached. We evaluate the
percolation critical probability, , and both scaling powers, and
, and, contrarily to previous calculations, our results indicate that the
model belongs to the same universality class as usual percolation (i.e.,
). The critical spanning probability, , is also numerically
studied, for systems with linear sizes ranging from L=32 up to L=480: the value
we found, , is the same as for usual percolation with

Conditions for the onset of the current filamentation instability in the laboratory
Current Filamentation Instability (CFI) is capable of generating strong
magnetic fields relevant to explain radiation processes in astrophysical
objects and lead to the onset of particle acceleration in collisionless shocks.
Probing such extreme scenarios in the laboratory is still an open challenge. In
this work, we investigate the possibility of using neutral
beams to explore the CFI with realistic parameters, by performing 2D
particle-in-cell simulations. We show that CFI can occur unless the rate at
which the beam expands due to finite beam emittance is larger than the CFI
growth rate and as long as the role of competing electrostatic two-stream
instability (TSI) is negligible. We also show that the longitudinal energy
spread, typical of plasma based accelerated electron-positron fireball beams,
plays a minor role in the growth of CFI in these scenarios
Parabolic dunes in north-eastern Brazil
In this work we present measurements of vegetation cover over parabolic dunes
with different degree of activation along the north-eastern Brazilian coast. We
are able to extend the local values of the vegetation cover density to the
whole dune by correlating measurements with the gray-scale levels of a high
resolution satellite image of the dune field. The empirical vegetation
distribution is finally used to validate the results of a recent continuous

Spin-1 Particles with Light-Front Approach
For the vector sector, i.e, mesons with spin-1, the electromagnetic form
factors and anothers observables are calculated with the light-front approach.
However, the light-front quantum field theory have some problems, for example,
the rotational symmetry breaking. We solve that problem added the zero modes
contribuition to the matrix elements of the electromagnetic current, besides
the valence contribuition. We found that among the four independent matrix
