    Integration of the OEE index and the Heijunka method: an analysis of a possible relationship

    In the last decades, Lean Production has become a widely used concept among industries that aim to improve processes and eliminate waste. Associated with lean production, the efficiency in the use of materials and machines is gaining importance in the operational strategy of the companies. Considering the need of companies constantly investing resources and efforts to continuously improve their processes, applying techniques and new knowledge to make them more competitive, this article aims to highlight the efficiency gains (demonstrated by the OEE calculation) derived from the application of the method Heijunka in a service company. The case study was carried out in a service company, characterizing itself as a Drink Distribution Center, located in the Integrated Administrative Development Region (RIDE) in Pernambuco. From the calculated data, it was possible to perceive that it is possible to have better productivity derived from a better efficiency of the operations, as evidenced by Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), overall efficiency index. This fact results, among other factors, from the leveling of production proposed by the Heijunka method

    A qualidade intrínseca aos produtos e serviços de uma organização é a premissa para que estas continuem competitivas no mercado. É necessário que os produtos e serviços comercializados tenham, não só, a qualidade exigida pelos clientes, como também, um custo mínimo para as organizações. Com isto a cada dia a disseminação de ferramentas e métodos para gestão da qualidade é mais impulsionada, uma dessas ferramentas é a FMEA, que é utilizada de maneira objetiva para identificar riscos potencias no produto, processo ou serviço. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo utilizar a ferramenta de Análise de Modos de Falha e Efeitos (FMEA) com uma abordagem proativa, utilizando o Gráfico de Áreas, para fazer uma análise e interpretação dos riscos no macroprocesso de uma fábrica de alimentos no interior pernambucano, a qual está inserida no ramo do “food service”, propondo um plano de ação com as soluções mais eficazes e viáveis diante dos possíveis riscos constatados.The intrinsic quality of an organization's products and services is the premise for them to remain competitive in the marketplace.
