Analysing Flow Free with Pairs of Dots In Triangular Graphs

    Get PDF
In the puzzle game Flow Free, the player is given a n x n grid with a number of colored point pairings. In order to solve the puzzle, the player must draw a path connecting each pair of points so that the following conditions are met: each pair of dots is connected by a path, each square of the grid is crossed by a path, and no paths intersect. Based on these puzzles, this project examines pairs of points in triangular grid graphs obtained by hexagons for which Hamiltonian paths exist in order to identify which point configurations have solutions. We show that n ≥ 5, any pairs of endpoints admit a Hamiltonian path as they do not surround a corner. This is a solution when n=2 fails when n=3 or 4

How to operate HRM and strategies effectively in overseas Chinese MNCs

    Get PDF
With the international expansion of Chinese MNCs, the problems and researches are rising. In addition, the IHRM practices could influence the strategies adoption in the process of internationalization of MNCs. In this context, we choose one of the emerging Chinese MNCs and compare it with three other state-owned MNCs in Australia with systematic and strategic IHRM practices. The aim is to find out how to operate the effective IHRM adoption in Chinese emerging MNCs, in the meantime, make it clear that although there are many factors influencing the IHRM adoption, which is the most influential for the long-term development of Chinese MNCs. The whole paper includes six parts that are introduction, literature review, methodology, analysis, discussion and limitation. Introduction would introduce the background of the development of Chinese MNCs and the train of thought in this paper; literature review finds out the factors influencing MNCs IHRM practices in home and host countries and theoretical contexts supporting the different IHRM practices; methodology and analysis introduce the cultural gap between Chinese and foreign colleagues through interviews and the samples that are used to illustrate the different IHRM adoptions in different industries; discussion concludes the findings and find out the universality for all the Chinese MNCs. Limitation is the reflection of the whole study

Study on Speed Characteristic of Material in Pipe Pneumatic Conveyor

    Get PDF
AbstractFocusing on material kinetic characteristic in horizontal pipe and vertical pipe of pneumatic conveyor, motion differential equation of the particle groups in pipe is established and solved by introduced into Matlab. By analyzing the resistance coefficient of the particle groups in different pipes and speed characteristic curves in different initial conditions, the speed characteristic of the particle groups in accelerating section of the pipe in pneumatic conveyor is obtained. The result shows that (1) resistance coefficient affects ultimate constant velocity of the particle groups in pipe, (2) different initial conditions affect acceleration (deceleration) motion time of the particle groups in pipe and (3) the power consumed in vertical pipe is larger than that in horizontal pipe when the particle groups are in accelerating section

Model of defect formation in annealed undoped and Fe-doped liquid encapsulated Czochralski InP

    Get PDF
Infrared absorption spectroscopy measurements indicate high concentration of hydrogen indium vacancy complex VInH4 in undoped and Fe-doped liquid encapsulated Czochralski (LEC) InP. Annealed undoped and Fe-doped semi-insulating (SI) InP are studied by room temperature Hall effect measurement and photocurrent spectroscopy. The results show that a mid gap donor defect and some shallow intrinsic defects are formed by high temperature annealing. This mid gap defect is shown to be phosphorus antisite related. Defect formation process and compensation mechanism in annealed SI InP are discussed.published_or_final_versio

Study on proppant settlement and migration in a single microfracture

    Get PDF
Micro-fractures are widely developed in deep shale gas reservoirs after fracturing. Effective support of micro-fractures is of great significance to slow down the production decline rate of shale gas Wells. When the particles enter the fracture, they can be effectively supported to provide a channel with high conductivity for oil and gas transport. The level of conductivity depends on the distribution of proppant in the fracture, so it is very important to analyse and describe the settlement, migration and placement of proppant. Therefore, based on CFD-DEM method, this paper systematically studied the migration and placement of proppant in a single rough micro-fracture, and explored the influence of related factors

Containing intense laser light in circular cavity with magnetic trap door

    Get PDF
It is shown by particle-in-cell simulation that intense circularly polarized (CP) laser light can be contained in the cavity of a solid-density circular Al-plasma shell for hundreds of light-wave periods before it is dissipated by laser-plasma interaction. A right-hand CP laser pulse can propagate with almost no reflection and attenuation into the cavity through a highly magnetized overdense H-plasma slab filling the entrance hole. The entrapped laser light is then multiply reflected at the inner surfaces of the slab and shell plasmas, slowly losing energy to the latter. Compared to that of the incident laser, the frequency is only slightly broadened and the wave vector slightly modified by the appearance of weak nearly isotropic and homogeneous fluctuations
