Anisotropic generalization of well-known solutions describing relativistic self-gravitating fluid systems: An algorithm
We present an algorithm to generalize a plethora of well-known solutions to
Einstein field equations describing spherically symmetric relativistic fluid
spheres by relaxing the pressure isotropy condition on the system. By suitably
fixing the model parameters in our formulation, we generate closed-form
solutions which may be treated as anisotropic generalization of a large class
of solutions describing isotropic fluid spheres. From the resultant solutions,
a particular solution is taken up to show its physical acceptability. Making
use of the current estimate of mass and radius of a known pulsar, the effects
of anisotropic stress on the gross physical behaviour of a relativistic compact
star is also highlighted.Comment: To appear in Eur. Phys. J.
Consumption pattern and consumer preference for value- added fish and fish products in north zone of India
Present paper attempts to analyze consumption pattern and consumer preferences towards value-added fish and fish products in north zone of India. Results reveal that socio economic variables affect consumption of value-added fish and fish products. A total of 49 percent respondents were of middle age group (35 t050 years). All were literates except 7 percent from the rural area. All were purchasing fish at least once in 15 days. A total of 90 percent respondents in rural, 77 percent in semi urban and 50 percent in urban area were unaware of value-added fish and fish products. About 10 percent of respondents had consumed it, out of which most were from urban area. Demand analysis by Cobb Douglas (CD) Demand function; revealed that when price of fish, price of the substitutes, income of family and family size were used as independent variables, variation in demand offish explained by CD Demand function was about 39 percent in urban area, 24 percent in semi urban area and 22 percent in rural area. From Garette ranking technique major problems in fish consumption found were irregular supply, lack of fresh fish, high price and presence of bones in fish. While lack of awareness, unavailability, no preference and unacceptable taste were major problems for consumption of value-added fish and fish product
An evaluation of the business performance of fishery cooperative societies in Vasai Taluka of Thane District, Maharashtra
Fishery cooperative movement is considered to be the most effective way to develop the fishery industry and improve the standards of living of the poor fishermen. It is also viewed that fishery cooperatives could spare from the exploitation and improve their socio-economic conditions.
Efforts made in this direction have yielded goods results in some areas, but the overall picture of fishery cooperatives is not encouraging
Performance of fisheries cooperatives in India- an evaluation of primary societies in Thane District of Maharashtra
The fisheries co operative system in India was devised with a view to providing assistance to the actual producers, the fishers. Fisheries co-operativo societies are governed by a separate set of rules to channel govornment assistance on the principles of self-help and democratic management. A large number of flsheries cooperatives have been formed both in marine and inland sectors of the country and contributing to fhe socio-economic development of the fishers. Presently, there are one National LeveI Federation, 7 state level federations, 108 central Ievol federations and 12,427 primary fishery sodeti s functioning in India
Decade-long timing of four GMRT discovered millisecond pulsars
The discovery and timing follow-up of millisecond pulsars (MSPs) are
necessary not just for their usefulness in Pulsar Timing Arrays (PTAs) but also
for investigating their own intriguing properties. In this work, we provide the
findings of the decade-long timing of the four MSPs discovered by the Giant
Metre-wave Radio Telescope (GMRT), including their timing precision, model
parameters, and newly detected proper motions. We compare the timing results
for these MSPs before and after the GMRT upgrade in 2017, characterise the
improvement in timing precision due to the bandwidth upgrade. We discuss the
suitability of these four GMRT MSPs as well as the usefulness of their
decade-long timing data for the PTA {experiments. It may aid} in the global
effort to improve the signal-to-noise (S/N) of recently detected signature of
gravitational waves in cross-correlation statistics of residuals of MSPs.Comment: Accepted in Astrophysical Journal (APJ) on October 31, 202
Mapping of the Indian fisheries growth rate and fish consumption through GIS
In the present study, Indian fisheries growth rate and fish consumption
have been analyzed through GIS mapping. The analyses were based on the
state-level fisheries data of India collected from the secondary sources.
Accordingly, the paper contains one thematic map containing two layers. To
achieve this, all the data have been brought into a tabular form through
Microsoft Excel and then joined to Map Info Professional Version 8.0 GIS
software with digitized map oflndia for further analysis to generate thematic
maps

Potential therapeutic effects of the simultaneous targeting of the Nrf2 and NF-╬║B pathways in diabetic neuropathy
AbstractThe Nuclear factor-2 erythroid related factor-2 (Nrf2) is a redox regulated transcription factor involved in the regulation of antioxidant defence systems. It drives the production of endogenous antioxidant defences and detoxifying enzymes. Nuclear factor-kappa light chain enhancer of B cells (NF-╬║B) is a transcription factor, involved in proinflammatory cytokine production, in addition to its immunological function. Both Nrf2 and NF-╬║B regulation are co-ordinated in order to maintain redox homeostasis in healthy cells. However, during pathological conditions this regulation is perturbed offering an opportunity for therapeutic intervention. Diabetic neuropathy is a condition, in which change in expression pattern of Nrf2 and NF-╬║B has been reported. This review aims to focus on the role of the Nrf2 and NF-╬║B in diabetic neuropathy and summarizes the therapeutic outcomes of various pharmacological modulators targeted at the Nrf2тАУNF-╬║B axis in diabetic neuropathy
