Renormalization of Poincare Transformations in Hamiltonian Semiclassical Field Theory

    Get PDF
Semiclassical Hamiltonian field theory is investigated from the axiomatic point of view. A notion of a semiclassical state is introduced. An "elementary" semiclassical state is specified by a set of classical field configuration and quantum state in this external field. "Composed" semiclassical states viewed as formal superpositions of "elementary" states are nontrivial only if the Maslov isotropic condition is satisfied; the inner product of "composed" semiclassical states is degenerate. The mathematical proof of Poincare invariance of semiclassical field theory is obtained for "elementary" and "composed" semiclassical states. The notion of semiclassical field is introduced; its Poincare invariance is also mathematically proved.Comment: LaTeX, 40 pages; short version of hep-th/010307

Purpose: The problem of the quality of education concerns not only Russia but also the entire world community. Many developed countries are concerned about the current state of education and are trying to improve their quality. One of the leading trends in the modernization of education in Russia is increasing attention to the problem of improving its quality, which requires the development of conceptual approaches to finding ways to solve it. Methodology: In pedagogical terms, the quality of education is considered from two positions: firstly, as the degree of compliance of the educational system with the established requirements and the quality of educational services provided by the educational institution; secondly, as the effectiveness of the educational process that meets the needs of social customers not only in terms of assimilation of a certain amount of knowledge by students, but also the development of their personality, cognitive and creative abilities. Result: The choice of an actual and effective educational program is interesting not only for the consumer but also for the educational organization (institution), as it is a quality program in many sectors of education that affects the competitiveness of the educational organization. Applications: This research can be used for universities, teachers, and students. Novelty/Originality: In this research, the model of the Organization of Monitoring in the Quality Management System of the Educational Process when Training of Specialists is presented in a comprehensive and complete manner

sVCAM-1 as a Marker of Endothelial Dysfunction associated with Severe Course of a Novel Coronavirus Infection (COVID-19)

Aim. To study the association of the level of endothelial dysfunction marker sVCAM-1 with the severe course of COVID-19.Material and methods. The study included 100 patients with COVID-19, who were divided into 3 groups depending on the degree of lung damage based on the results of computed tomography (CT): group CT 1 – 29 patients, group CT 2 – 61 patients and the group CT 3 – 10 patients. In addition to the standard examination performed for coronavirus infection, all patients underwent carotid Doppler ultrasound, analysis of arterial stiffness indices (CAVI, ABI) using the VaSera device, and evaluation of the plasma sVCAM-1 concentration by ELISA.Results. The plasma sVCAM-1 concentration was significantly higher in the groups of patients with moderately severe (CT 2) and severe (CT 3) lung lesions than in patients with mild lesions (CT 1). In the general group of patients significant correlations were found between the plasma sVCAM-1 concentration and the level of oxygen saturation (r=-0.39, p=0.032), hospital length of stay (r=0.24, p=0.026), values of C-reactive protein (r=0.25, p=0.042), ferritin (r=0.38, p=0.021), LDH (r=0.52, p=0.015) , as well as the percentage of pulmonary involvement according to CT data at admission (r=0.41, p=0.019) and on the day of discharge (r=0.35, p=0.022). According to multivariate regression analysis, sVCAM-1 does not depend upon gender, age, body mass index (BMI), the presence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and hypertension, and is a marker associated with cytokine storm progression, intermediate negative dynamics according to CT data, and need for respiratory support. The presence of type 2 diabetes, as well as elevated sVCAM-1 concentrations, is associated with an increased risk of high-dose glucocorticosteroid therapy. The threshold levels of this marker were calculated for each of the above events. We revealed a correlation between the sVCAM-1 concentration and the carotid intimal medial thickness in the general group of patients (r=0.25, p=0.036).Conclusion. An increase in the plasma sVCAM-1 concentration reflects the progression of endothelial dysfunction, one of the key factors in the pathogenesis of COVID-19. The latter necessitates the need for endothelium protective therapy for these patients. The evaluation of sVCAM-1 in blood plasma is a promising diagnostic technique aimed at predicting the risk of a severe course of COVID-19 and its long-term health hazards

Consumption of Food by the Families of Collective Farmers in the Molotov region in the First Post-War Five Years (1946—1950)

A quantitative and qualitative analysis of food consumption in the families of collective farmers in the Molotov and Sverdlovsk regions is provided in the article. The author used materials from the funds of two archives: the Russian State Archive of Economics (RSAE) and the State Archives of the Sverdlovsk Region (SASR), some of which have never been published. The source base for writing this article was the materials of budget surveys of the population, which have a long history in our country. It is argued that the need for high-quality and properly structured nutrition is one of the basic needs of human existence. It is stated that the level of consumption of food products by the population of the Soviet Union in 1946—1950 was determined by the harsh post-war conditions. Attention is focused on the fact that a powerful decrease in the livestock component of the collective farm backyard, combined with a decrease in income from work on the collective farm, could not but affect the level of income and consumption of collective farm families, including nutrition. It is proved that in the studied period — the first post-war five years — the level of nutrition of collective farm families should be assessed as unsatisfactory

Group averaging in the (p,q) oscillator representation of SL(2,R)

We investigate refined algebraic quantisation with group averaging in a finite-dimensional constrained Hamiltonian system that provides a simplified model of general relativity. The classical theory has gauge group SL(2,R) and a distinguished o(p,q) observable algebra. The gauge group of the quantum theory is the double cover of SL(2,R), and its representation on the auxiliary Hilbert space is isomorphic to the (p,q) oscillator representation. When p>1, q>1 and p+q == 0 (mod 2), we obtain a physical Hilbert space with a nontrivial representation of the o(p,q) quantum observable algebra. For p=q=1, the system provides the first example known to us where group averaging converges to an indefinite sesquilinear form.Comment: 34 pages. LaTeX with amsfonts, amsmath, amssymb.
