Magnetic behavior of Co(II) chloride monocrystal with 1-allyltetrazole

    No full text
Magnetic anisotropy of the single crystal of the cobalt(ii) chloride complex with 1 allyltetrazole (alltz) Co(alltz)2_{2}Cl2_{2} was studied. Types of magnetic ordering and easy and hard magnetization axes were determined, their relationship with crystallographic axes was established. The Co(alltz)2_{2}Cl2_{2} complex is a weak ferromagnet with TN=99.3_{\rm N} = 99.3 K and possesses spontaneous magnetization σS\sigma _{\rm S}(4.5) = 1320 G cm3^{3} mol1^{-1}. Hysteresis effects, depending on the intensity of the magnetic field in which the sample was cooled, were detected. Key words. Molecular magnets, single crystal, cobalt(II), tetrazole

A series of new heterospin complexes based on metal hexafluoroacetylacetonates with spin-labeled benzonitriles (NIT-pp-PhCN and NIT-mm-PhCN) were synthesized. It was shown that Ìn(hfac)2_{2} and Co(hfac)2_{2} complexes with NIT-pp-PhCN are heterospin layered polymers magnetically ordered below 9-11 K. Among Ì(hfac)2_{2} complexes with NIT-mm-PhCN possessing molecular or chain structures there are no magnetic ordering solids. Key words.
