    Get PDF
Knowledge audit output helps organizations to make recommendation of KM strategy that can be used for better managing the knowledge. However, knowledge audit can only be an effective strategic tool if the process is done cyclically and continuously. This paper reviews literature on knowledge audit process with the aim to understand the various roles and contributions of knowledge audit in knowledge management initiatives. The literature was analyzed by adopting the three -stage method for extracting, analyzing and reporting the literature- based findings. The paper concludes with an understanding on how knowledge audit output could contribute to the organizations’ continuous quality improvement

Enhancing healthcare services through cloud service: a systematic review

    Get PDF
Although cloud-based healthcare services are booming, in-depth research has not yet been conducted in this field. This study aims to address the shortcomings of previous research by analyzing all journal articles from the last five years using the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) systematic literature review methodology. The findings of this study highlight the benefits of cloud-based healthcare services for healthcare providers and patients, including enhanced healthcare services, data security, privacy issues, and innovative information technology (IT) service delivery models. However, this study also identifies challenges associated with using cloud services in healthcare, such as security and privacy concerns, and proposes solutions to address these issues. This study concludes by discussing future research directions and the need for a complete solution that addresses the conflicting requirements of the security, privacy, efficiency, and scalability of cloud technologies in healthcare

Knowledge audit output helps organizations to make recommendation of KM strategy which later can be used for better managing the knowledge. This paper reviews literature on knowledge audit process with the aim to understand the process, the data gathering techniques employed and the roles of knowledge audit. It aims to report the research gaps and propose directions for future research in this domain. A comprehensive three-stage method for extracting, analyzing and reporting the literature-based findings was applied in analyzing the literature survey. The literature survey is based on a search for the keywords “knowledge audit”, “knowledge audit process”, “knowledge audit output” and “knowledge audit roles”, first on the ISI Web of Knowledge online database, followed by Association of Information Systems basket of top journals and other reputable literatures. The paper concludes with an understanding on how knowledge audit is conducted, the data gathering techniques used and its contributions to the organization. However no literature was found on knowledge audit practices for inter-organization. Future research on how knowledge audit could be extended for inter-organization is suggested at the end of the paper. However, this paper only covers literature that discussed in depth the knowledge audit process published in certain journals. Never the less, it is believed that the findings provide a valuable understanding of the current situation in this research field

Design and prototype development of credit transfer and exemption system in FIIT, UNISEL, Malaysia

Credit transfer and credit exemption (CTCE) are one of the crucial processes in higher learning institution. Due to typically processed using manual system, it is time consuming and unorganized data filing to the applications and process of approval of applications at Universiti Industri Selangor (UNISEL). Besides, there is no standardized process flow for CTCE among all faculties. Therefore, to improve the process to be more efficient and organized, a prototype system to standardize process flow of CTCE is designed and developed. Rational Unified Process (RUP) is been used because RUP is a complete methodology and well-documented for software engineering. The solution is expected to allow online application and approval and the monitoring to the both process. It also helps in organizing record digitally and eliminates the manual paper based system. Therefore, all faculties at UNISEL must follow a standardized process flow for CTCE process

Government all over the world are increasingly realizing that implementing and sustaining their electronic service delivery is the way forward to achieve efficiency savings and to satisfy and engage demanding constituents. Once an electronic service delivery has been developed and the infrastructure is in place, they are almost infinitely scalable with minimal effort, and will reduce variable costs of electronic service provisioning and service use. As this trend continues, academics, IT professionals and decision makers need a deeper understanding of electronic service initiatives sustainability. Yet, analysis of IS academic literature reveals that electronic service initiatives sustainability, has received little in depth attention. This paper investigates the current state of electronic service initiatives sustainability research in IS literature. The article detailed out a review of literature from main IS journals. The study concludes with a tentative operational definition, a list of source references, and an agenda for related future research

    Get PDF
In the knowledge management field, knowledge sharing is considered as a very important activity in order for the organization to make decision related to their day-t-day and complicated tasks. Working with different organizations that have different beliefs, culture and work flow will make the knowledge sharing more complex. Thus identifying the influencing factors for the organizations to share their knowledge is important. This paper shows how data based on the interview done from 19 respondents is analyzed. Interviews were carried out among the departments that involved in the flood management. The Straussian approach was used in analyzing the qualitative data. The results shows the emerging themes were identified while coding the data being technology, organizational, political and policy and coordination

Technically, a project ends when the project closure and product handover are undertaken. However, the results of the project, specifically the product that the project has borne, will take on a new life in the user environment. The processes undertaken to ensure the usability and effectiveness of the product in that context will determine the product's future life or its sustainability. The purpose of this paper is to identify and understand the sustainability criteria of community ICT hubs implemented at 9 districts in one of the most developed state in Malaysia. This study uses case study as a strategy to collect its qualitative data using document review, observation and interview of 92 respondents. There are 8 sustainability criteria discovered, grouped within 3 sustainability dimensions: social / cultural; economical; and institutional
