    Intuitionistic linguistic multi-attribute decision making algorithm based on integrated distance measure

    This study aims to integrate the intuitionistic linguistic multi-attribute decision making (MADM) method which builds upon an integrated distance measure into supplier evaluation and selection problems. More specifically, an intuitionistic linguistic integrated distance measure based on ordered weighted averaging operator (OWA) and weighted average approach is presented and applied. The desirable characteristics and families of the developed distance operator are further explored. In addition, based on the proposed distance measure, a supplier selection problem for an automobile factory is used to test the practicality of its framework. The effectiveness and applicability of the presented framework for supplier selection are examined by carrying comparative analysis against the existing techniques of aggregation

    Rapid Recovery of Program Execution Under Power Failures for Embedded Systems with NVM

    After power is switched on, recovering the interrupted program from the initial state can cause negative impact. Some programs are even unrecoverable. To rapid recovery of program execution under power failures, the execution states of checkpoints are backed up by NVM under power failures for embedded systems with NVM. However, frequent checkpoints will shorten the lifetime of the NVM and incur significant write overhead. In this paper, the technique of checkpoint setting triggered by function calls is proposed to reduce the write on NVM. The evaluation results show an average of 99.8% and 80.5$% reduction on NVM backup size for stack backup, compared to the log-based method and step-based method. In order to better achieve this, we also propose pseudo-function calls to increase backup points to reduce recovery costs, and exponential incremental call-based backup methods to reduce backup costs in the loop. To further avoid the content on NVM is cluttered and out of NVM, a method to clean the contents on the NVM that are useless for restoration is proposed. Based on aforementioned problems and techniques, the recovery technology is proposed, and the case is used to analyze how to recover rapidly under different power failures.Comment: This paper has been accepted for publication to Microprocessors and Microsystems in March 15, 202

    A Study of Young Chinese Intentions to Purchase “Online Paid Knowledge”: An Extended Technological Acceptance Model

    Under the catalysis of knowledge anxiety and cognitive surplus, knowledge sharing platforms has experienced rapid growth, which has accelerated the integration of knowledge resources online. As with all new successful and sustainable business products, the consumers will play an important role in the future development of online paid knowledge. Therefore, we constructed an extended technological acceptance model by examining factors that influence young Chinese people's willingness to pay for online paid knowledge. The study surveyed 405 young Chinese participants, in which the extended technological acceptance model was tested by using structural equation modeling. Findings indicate that perceived ease of use is positively associated with perceived usefulness and associated attitudes, whereas perceived usefulness and attitude is positively associated with purchase intention. Perceived risk and group conformity are found to indirectly affect consumers' willingness to pay. The study advances the current body of knowledge by empirically testing the impact of perceived risk and the role of cultural influence (group conformity) on purchasing intention. Finally, theoretical and practical implications are discussed

    Optimal planting pattern of cotton is regulated by irrigation amount under mulch drip irrigation

    ObjectiveIt is of great importance to explore agronomic management measures for water conservation and cotton yield in arid areas.MethodsA four–year field experiment was conducted to evaluate cotton yield and soil water consumption under four row spacing configurations (high/low density with 66+10 cm wide, narrow row spacing, RS66+10H and RS66+10L; high/low density with 76 cm equal row spacing, RS76H and RS76L) and two irrigation amounts (CI:conventional drip irrigation; LI:limited drip irrigation) during the growing seasons in Shihezi, Xinjiang.ResultsA quadratic relationship was observed between the maximum LAI (LAImax) and seed yield. Canopy apparent transpiration rate(CAT), daily water consumption intensity (DWCI) and crop evapotranspiration (ETC) were positively and linearly correlated with LAI. The seed yields, lint yields, and ETC under CI were 6.6–18.3%,7.1–20.8% and 22.9–32.6%higher than those observed under LI, respectively. The RS66+10H under CI had the highest seed and lint yields. RS76L had an optimum LAImax range, which ensured a higher canopy apparent photosynthesis and daily dry matter accumulation and reached the same yield level as RS66+10H; however, soil water consumption in RS76L was reduced ETC by 51–60 mm at a depth of 20–60 cm at a radius of 19–38 cm from the cotton row,and water use efficiency increased by 5.6–8.3%compared to RS66+10H under CI.ConclusionA 5.0<LAImax<5.5 is optimum for cotton production in northern Xinjiang, and RS76L under CI is recommended for high yield and can further reduce water consumption. Under LI, the seed and lint yield of RS66+10H were 3.7–6.0% and 4.6–6.9% higher than those of RS76L, respectively. In addition, high-density planting can exploit the potential of soil water to increase cotton yields under water shortage conditions

    Hospitalization Costs of COVID-19 Cases and Their Associated Factors in Guangdong, China: A Cross-Sectional Study

    Background: The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has brought significant challenges to health system and consumed a lot of health resources. However, evidence on the hospitalization costs and their associated factors in COVID-19 cases is scarce.Objectives: To describe the total and components of hospitalization costs of COVID-19 cases, and investigate the associated factors of costs.Methods: We included 876 confirmed COVID-19 cases admitted to 33 designated hospitals from January 15th to April 27th, 2020 in Guangdong, China, and collected their demographic and clinical information. A multiple linear regression model was performed to estimate the associations of hospitalization costs with potential associated factors.Results: The median of total hospitalization costs of COVID-19 cases was 2,869.4(IQR:2,869.4 (IQR: 3,916.8). We found higher total costs in male (% difference: 29.7, 95% CI: 15.5, 45.6) than in female cases, in older cases than in younger ones, in severe cases (% difference: 344.8, 95% CI: 222.5, 513.6) than in mild ones, in cases with clinical aggravation than those without, in cases with clinical symptoms (% difference: 47.7, 95% CI: 26.2, 72.9) than those without, and in cases with comorbidities (% difference: 21.1%, 21.1, 95% CI: 4.4, 40.6) than those without. We also found lower non-pharmacologic therapy costs in cases treated with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) therapy (% difference: −47.4, 95% CI: −64.5 to −22.0) than cases without.Conclusion: The hospitalization costs of COVID-19 cases in Guangdong were comparable to the national level. Factors associated with higher hospitalization costs included sex, older age, clinical severity and aggravation, clinical symptoms and comorbidities at admission. TCM therapy was found to be associated with lower costs for some non-pharmacologic therapies

The developed model is validated by comparing its results against those obtained by detailed, non-linear electromagnetic transient simulations. With the developed model, the sensitivity analysis can be conducted to study the small-signal stability of the multiple inverter-based DG systems

    Low Temperature Phase Transformations in Copper-Quenched Ti-44.5Al-8Nb-2.5V Alloy

    In this study, an easily controlled transformation similar to the β + α → β + α + γ and the analysis of metastable phases in a β solidifying Ti-44.5Al-8Nb-2.5V alloy were investigated. Therefore, a liquid alloy copper-quenching followed by annealing at an application temperature (850 °C) has been carried out. Following quenching, a microstructure composed of several supersaturated phases—the basket-weave β0 (βbv) phase, the plate-like α2 (αp) phase and the stripe-like γ (γs) phase—was obtained. In the annealing processes, phase transformations in the prior βbv and αp phases domain corresponded nicely to the β + α → β + α + γ transformation during solidification. Also, in the annealed γs phase, the kinetics of the phase transformations involving the metastable L12 phase was firstly detected by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The L12 phase had a lattice structure similar to the γ phase, whereas the composition of the phase was similar to the α2 phase. The formation of the γ pre-twin phase with an anti-phase boundary (APB) was detected in the γs phase of the matrix. The orientation relationships between the γs and precipitated: γ (γp) phase are <101]γs//<114]γp, (10 1 ¯ )γs//( 1 ¯ 10)γp and (0 1 ¯ 0)γs//(22 1 ¯ )γp

    Effect of heat-clearing and dampness-eliminating Chinese medicine for high-risk cervical cancer papillomavirus infection: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

    BackgroundHeat-clearing and dampness-eliminating Chinese medicine (HDCM) has been studied in clinical trials for cervical HPV infection for decades. However, there has been little comprehensive assessment of the strength and quality of the evidence. Therefore, this study conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the effectiveness and safety of HDCM in high-risk cervical HPV-infected patients.MethodsThe research focus questions were constructed in accordance with the criteria of participants, intervention, comparison, and outcomes (PICO), and a protocol was registered in PROSPERO. Comprehensive and systematic searches and inquiries in eight electronic databases were conducted from their inception to 30th June 2022. Further, a systematic review and meta-analysis of all randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were conducted to evaluate the HDCM therapy methods.ResultsA total of 12 studies were eligible for inclusion, including 1,574 patients. Data synthesis showed that the HPV clearance rate of HDCM groups was superior to both interferon and follow-up groups (RR = 1.40,95% CI:1.15, 1.71, P < 0.01) and (RR = 3.15, 95% CI:2.43,4.08, P < 0.01), respectively. HDCM was proven to exhibit greater potential in reducing HPV-DNA virus load (MD = −5.16, 95% CI: −5.91, −4.41, P < 0.01). The reversal rate of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) for HDCM groups was approximately 2.8 times (RR = 2.80, 95% CI: 2.19, 3.57, P < 0.01), as high as the follow-up groups. Additionally, the recurrence rate of HR-HPV at the end of follow-up in this meta-analysis was reported to be lower in HDCM groups compared to follow-up groups [6.81% (16/235) and 14.65% (29/198), respectively]. The most commonly used Chinese herbal remedies were as follows: Huangbai (Phellodendron chinense var.Glabriusculum C.K. Schneid.), Kushen (Sophora flavescens Aiton), Daqingye (Isatis indigotica Fortune), Zicao (Arnebia hi-spidissima DC.), Baihuasheshecao (Hedyotis diffusa Spreng.), Banlangen (Isatis tinctoria subsp.tinctoria L.), Huzhang (Reynoutria japonica Houtt.), and Huangqi (Orobanche astragali Mouterde).ConclusionHDCM interventions appeared to generate significant effects on enhancing the rate of HR-HPV clearance, reducing the HPV-DNA virus load, and increasing the CIN regression rate.
