Management researchers, always focus on volume of sales, profit, costs, operations and factors which influence the improvement of organization and try to help management to better operate and differentiate the organization from their competitors. It seems that what has been neglected is the role of determining and key factors affecting the stakeholders and organization’s audience mentality. Since stakeholder’s mentality constitute their view about the organization and their views form their operation which would be luck for the organizations or not. According to previous studies, few research has been conducted about the dimensions of imaging in stakeholders minds. The models provided in this paper by Kenndy (1977),Dowling(1986),Abratt (1989),Leblanc & Nguyen(1996) refers to very small area of the importance of these factors on corporate image. In this paper, corporate imaging dimensions is viewed from three aspects of strategic and a model has been introduced in the end which includes 1) single product and multi product (each contains sub categories) strategy. 2)competitive aspect of strategy which includes geographic rang, position in the market and competitive weapon 3)operational aspect which includes managers characteristics, type of transaction with staff, competitors, customers, stockholders, market and industry. The author believes that managers can better manage stakeholders minds by implementing these dimensions and in the end achieve success for the organization

This research aims to examine which determinants (i.e. perceived quality, trust, satisfaction, perceived value, and membership programs) have significant effect(s) on absorb and retention of bank customers. In order to get the answer, this study surveyed 384 customers to investigate the determining factors that affect on absorb and retention of bank customers. The multiple regression statistical method and Freidman  analysis were used for data analysis. The study results show that among the determining factors and their relationship against attitudinal and behavioral loyalty, “satisfaction” was consistently valued the most, followed by “trust.” The attitudinal loyalty measurement regarded “membership program” as its third most valued while the behavioral loyalty positioned “perceived quality” as its third. Results for the fourth most valued factor, indicated “perceived quality” from the attitudinal loyalty measurement, while “perceived value” was behavioral loyalty’s fourth most valued. The least valued factors for attitudinal and behavioral loyalty were “perceived value” and “membership program,” respectively. On a greater scale, in measuring overall loyalty, the determining factors were ranked as follows, in descending order from most to least important: “satisfaction,” “trust,” perceived quality,” “membership program,” and “perceived value.” This study can serve as a model to be adopted for years to come in the determining factors of absorb and retention of bank customers. The constructs, specifically “perceived value,” “perceived quality,” “satisfaction,” and “trust” have been of use for years, through various industries. These particular determinants will continue to be of use across industries as efforts are made to measure customer loyalty. Keywords: determining factors, absorb and retain of customer

Introduction: Muscle atrophy, spasticity, and deformity are among long term complication of spinal cord injury (SCI) veterans. There are numerous studies evaluating effect of functional electrical stimulation on muscle properties of SCI people, but less research has focused on the benefits of passive cycling in the management of spasticity and improving ROM of lower limbs in individuals with SCI. Aims: To evaluate the effect of electrical passive cycling on passive range of movement spasticity and electrodiagnostic parameters in SCI veterans. Methods: Sixty-four SCI veterans referred to two clinical and research center in Tehran were recruited in this prospective clinical trial. The subjects were divided into two groups according to electrical passive cycling usage: (1) patients who did not use pedal exercise (control group), (2) patients used Electrical passive cycling up to optimal level (intervention group). Main outcome measures included hip, knee, and ankle range of motion, spasticity scale, and electrodiagnostic parameters including F-Wave Consistency, F-Wave Amplitude, H/M Ratio, F/M Ratio, H-Reflex Onset Latency, and H-Reflex Amplitude. Data were recorded at the time of receiving and 1 year after pedal exercise usage. Results: Sixty-four SCI patients including 95.3% male, 4.7% female with mean age 43 years old were included in this study. All patients except one suffered from complete SCI. The involved spinal levels were cervical (17.2%), upper thoracic (34.4%), lower thoracic (45.3%), and lumbar (3.1%). Spasticity scale decreased significantly after passive cycling in group 2. Also hip, knee, and ankle ROM in group 2 were significantly improved after pedal exercise. There was a significant difference in H max/M max (RT&LT) and F/M ratio after versus before electric passive cycling system in group 2. Conclusion: These findings suggest that passive rhythmic leg exercise can lead to decrease in spasticity, increase in passive ROM of lower limbs and improvement in electrodiagnostic parameters of spasticity in patients with SCI

Introduction: Quality of life (QOL) of emergency medicine specialists can be effective in providing services to patients. The aim of the present study was evaluating the lifestyle of emergency medicine practitioners, understanding their problems, and addressing the solutions to enhance and improve their lifestyles, in teaching hospitals in Iran. Method: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on emergency medicine physicians in 10 teaching hospitals of Iran in 2011. Emergency physicians with at least three years of experience who interested in the study, were enrolled in the project. All participants filled out the consent form and QOL questionnaires, then underwent physical examinations and some medical laboratory tests. Categorical variables were reported as percentages, while continuous variables expressed as means and standard deviations. p <0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: Totally, 100 subjects participated in the study, of whom 48 were male. The mean and standard deviation of the physicians’ age were 38.7±5.1 years. 43% of physicians had an average QOL, while 37% good. 96% of studied physicians had a good condition regarding habitual history, while 93% of them had a poor condition in performing screening tests. Exercise program and personal health in individuals with normal BMI were correlated with higher levels of QOL. BMI was higher in 40-50 years old subjects than youngers. Hypertension was present in five cases (5%), hypercholesterolemia in six (6%), hypertriglyceridemia in six (6%), increased LDL in four (4%), low HDL in four (4%), and impaired FBS in 4 (4%). Conclusion: The findings showed that 63% of studied emergency physicians had an average level of QOL and other ones good. The majority of physicians had undesirable situation regarding the performance of screening tests

Curcumin as an indirect methylation inhibitor modulates the effects of Toxoplasma gondii on genes involved in male fertility

    Get PDF
Toxoplasma gondii is a common protozoan parasite, which infects warm-blooded mammals, including mice and humans, throughout the world. The negative effects of T. gondii infection on the human reproductive system have been documented, especially in females. However, only few studies have examined the effects of T. gondii infection on the male reproductive system. Previous research shows that T. gondii can induce DNA methylation in some gene promoters, which are key regulators of spermatogenesis. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the effects of curcumin on the activity of DNA methyltransferases (DNMTs), as well as selected genes, involved in spermatogenesis in spermatogenic cells. In the spermatogenic cells exposed to T. gondii, there was a significant increase in DNMT1 and DNMT3A gene expression and a significant reduction in HSPA1A, MTHR, and DAZL gene expression, compared to the controls. The present results showed that curcumin could regulate changes in T. gondii-mediated gene expression. The effect of T. gondii on DNMT activity was also investigated in this study. A 40 % increase in DNMT activity was observed due to T. gondii infection. However, DNMT activity was restored by treatment with 20 ΌM curcumin for eight hours. The results revealed that T. gondii increases the NF-ÎșB activity, compared to the control group. The increase in NF-ÎșB activity, induced by T. gondii, was inhibited by curcumin. In conclusion, T. gondii, by increasing DNMT expression and activity, leads to an increase in NF-ÎșB activity in cells. On the other hand, curcumin reduced DNA methylation, induced by T. gondii, owing to its NF-ÎșB-inhibiting properties. Therefore, curcumin, as a hypomethylating agent, can be potentially used to alleviate the negative effects of T. gondii on the male reproductive system
