Singularities in Free Energy: Lee-Yang Theory

Phase Transition is associated with a drastic change in some observable (ordered parameter) of the system when the controlled parameter is tuned smoothly. Lee-Yang theory of phase transition is discussed which is related to the accumulation of singularities of free energy, equivalently complex roots of Grand Partition function (Partition function) at points on positive real axis in complex fugacity plane; and more general (p+1) phase system is discussed, and also the case when (w+2) phases coexist together. Comparison to Mayer's theory is also presented.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figure

    Quantum 3j3j-symbols for Uq(sl3)U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_3)

We propose an algebraic expression for Uq(sl3)U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_3) quantum 3j3j symbols (quantum Clebsch-Gordan coefficients) appearing in the decomposition of tensor product of symmetric representations. Our compact form will be useful to write the spectral parameter dependent RR-matrix elements for any bi-partite vertex model whose edges carry states of the symmetric representations

Abstract: Purpose: The aim of this study is to highlight the issues confronted during research on migration from Asian perspectives. In addition, the study aims to convince the research dimensions to be in line with the issues of the current environment. Approach: A quantitative approach is perceived to be an ideal technique to be employed for this research study since most of the data has been acquired from the secondary work done by different research fellows on the subject. Descriptive analysis has been presented on the work earlier done and also focused on the gap for the incumbent studies. Findings: Intense migration occurred over the last three decade in Asia, this article’s area of concern on research conduction of international labor in Asia. This article covers research carried out in the late twenty-first century. The rising implication called for highlighting the Asian migration phenomena. The rising implication called for highlighting the Asian migration phenomena. It is evident by present work on the literature on migration, the development of research, and the development of research networks in the region. It is suggested that increased efforts should focus on the establishment of a link between internal and international migration in spite of more work on migration phenomena in the region. Conclusion: It is concluded that migration in Asia is a significant phenomenon, and if it continues, will hurt the associated nations due to brain drain

Location selection of a business is a crucial decision-making element in the motel sector because a flawed decision can be very difficult or even impossible to rectify. There is a notable gap in the literature on location selection for the tourism accommodation sector with almost all work focusing on hotel location. While work within New Zealand is particularly rare, research on factors influencing motel location is virtually non-existent. This study explores factors influencing location selection and determines the importance of each of these factors to the motel owners. This study also analyses the nexus between theory and practice to develop a model for location selection specific to New Zealand. The study uses a qualitative lead mixed method approach. Data were collected using in-depth interviews with sector experts and face-to-face surveys with New Zealand motel owners. The study uses a combination of thematic analysis, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) of the multi-criteria decision making, and cluster analysis to examine the dimensions of motel location selection. The first phase of this study reviews the literature on tourist accommodation location selection and identifies a range of factors: financial, non-cash benefits, agglomeration, connectivity, location and visibility, the business environment and government policy factors. These factors are refined and contextualized using in-depth interviews with sector experts and thematic analysis. These factors are organized into criteria and sub-criteria and arranged in a hierarchy. The resultant hierarchy provides an initial framework for location selection in the New Zealand motel sector. The second phase of the study surveys motel owners/operators with experience in selecting a motel location and examines the factors influencing decision-making using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The AHP result reveals some common patterns. Cluster analysis is used to explore underlying meaningful clusters of similar groups of respondents underpinning motel investment decisions. The cluster analysis identifies four clusters of owners: lifestyle, balanced lifestyle, location-based profit-centric, and pure profit-centric owners. The findings demonstrate significant discrepancies between the theory and practice of location selection for the New Zealand motel sector. The importance of factors varies from that reported in the global literature. The influence of factors varies among motel owners. The AHP findings reveal that financial criteria are the most influential for motel location selection followed by location and visibility, non-cash benefits, the business environment, agglomeration, connectivity and government policies. This study rigorously assesses the location selection process and develops a model to assist stakeholders in understanding the process. Although this study is the first of its kind, the model shows potential utility in the field of motel location selection. The study suggests further research on motel location selection to enhance the model

The effect of Kalongi (Nigella sativa, L.) seeds was studied on the performance of layers and cholesterol contents of their egg-yolks. A total of 96 White-Leghorn birds of 40 weeks of age and at the egg laying stage were randomly divided into 12 experimental units, eight birds in each unit. These units were randomly allotted to four treatments in such a way that each treatment received 3 experimental units. Four test rations were prepared by supplementing a commercial layer-ration with powdered Kalongi seeds at the rates of 0.0, 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5%. Effects of feeding these rations on feed intake, egg production, egg mass, egg shell thickness, Haugh unit, yolk index, blood spots, meat spots and total cholesterol in eggs were determined after a period of 12 weeks. Blood samples of the two birds selected at random from each replicate were taken at 0, 6 and 12 weeks. The serum obtained from these samples was analyzed for total cholesterol, low-density lipoproteins, high-density lipoproteins and triglycerides. Data on feed intake, feed refused and egg production were used to calculate the feed conversion ratio. Results showed that Nigella sativa seeds significantly (P0.05) change in yolk index, blood and meat spots. The Nigella sativa seeds also significantly (P0,05) u odnosu na indeks žumanjka te prisutnost krvnih i mesnih mrlja. U jaja nesilica hranjenih usitnjenim sjemenkama crnjike zabilježena je značajno manja količina (P<0,05) kolesterola. Ustanovljene su i niže razine serumskih triglicerida, lipoproteina niske gustoće i ukupnog kolesterola, dok je razina loipoproteina visoke gustoće bila povišena dodavanjem komercijalne hrane sa sjemenkama crnjike
