Coarse grained dynamics of the freely cooling granular gas in one dimension
We study the dynamics and structure of clusters in the inhomogeneous
clustered regime of a freely cooling granular gas of point particles in one
dimension. The coefficient of restitution is modeled as or 1 depending
on whether the relative speed is greater or smaller than a velocity scale
. The effective fragmentation rate of a cluster is shown to rise
sharply beyond a dependent time scale. This crossover is coincident
with the velocity fluctuations within a cluster becoming order . Beyond
this crossover time, the cluster size distribution develops a nontrivial power
law distribution, whose scaling properties are related to those of the velocity
fluctuations. We argue that these underlying features are responsible behind
the recently observed nontrivial coarsening behaviour in the one dimensional
freely cooling granular gas.Comment: 7 Pages, 9 Figure
Plankton study of Siddheshwar dam of Hingoli district, (M.S.) India.
The present paper deals with the plankton diversity of siddheshwar dam near Aundha dist Hingoli Maharashtra in the year 2001.The water spread area of the dam 40.58 Sq.Km.at FRL 250.85 Mcum. The phytoplankton represented by chlorophyceae, bascillariophyceae, cyanophyceae, and euglenophyceae and zooplankton represents species of rotifer, copepods, cladocera and ostracoda
Seasonal variations of phsycio-chemical characteristics of Jamgavan dam water of Hingoli District (M.S.) India.
Jamgavan dam is a minor irrigation dam. The water in Jamgavan dam is used for irrigation, fish culture, drinking and domestic purposes. The present investigation deal with the study of seasonal variations of physicochemical characteristics of Jamgavan dam water. The study was carried out during the year 2007 for a period of 12 months. The parameters such as atmospheric temperature, water temperature, pH, free carbon dioxide, Electrical conductivity and dissolved oxygen were studied.
One-Pot Palladium-Catalyzed Ligand- and Metal-Oxidant-Free Aerobic Oxidative Isocyanide Insertion Leading to 2-Amino-substituted-4(3H)-quinazolinones
An efficient, ligand- and metal-oxidant-free, one-pot, cascade aerobic oxidative, palladium-catalyzed, multicomponent reaction has been developed through isocyanide insertion of less active secondary amide and aromatic amine, which leads to 2-amino-substituted-4(3H)-quinazolinones. This approach proves to be one of the simplest methods for the synthesis of this class of valuable bioactive heterocyclic scaffolds
Carbon Nanotubes Based Porous Framework for Filtration Applications Using Industrial Grinding Waste
Forging, milling, turning, grinding and shaping etc. are the various industrial manufacturing processes which generate the metal waste. Grinding is extensively used in the finishing operation. The waste generated contains significant impurities apart from the metal particles. Due to these significant impurities, it becomes difficult to process and gets usually dumped in the landfills which create environmental problems. Therefore, it becomes essential to reuse metal waste to create value added products. Powder injection molding process is used for producing the porous metal matrix framework. This paper discusses the presented design of the porous framework to be used for the liquid filter application. Different parameters are optimized to obtain the better strength framework with variable porosity. Carbon nanotubes are used as reinforcing materials to enhance the strength of the metal matrix framework
An Improved, Highly Efficient Method for the Synthesis of Bisphenols
An efficient synthesis of bisphenols is described by condensation of substituted phenols with corresponding cyclic ketones in presence of cetyltrimethylammonium chloride and 3-mercaptopropionic acid as a catalyst in extremely high purity and yields
The evaluation of toxic effect (LC 50) of endosulfan on female crab Brytelphusa guerini.
Man with extraordinary intellectual capability conquered the age; old traditional world by establishing modern technological world to cater the needs of all the human beings. As the most intelligent man acquired supremacy and mastery over each and every object on the earth and mode them to keep under his control. The paper deals with the organochlorine pesticide which is regularly used in agricultural purpose interact directly or indirectly with the biosphere spoils the biota flora and the fauna. The endosulfan toxicity calculated by LC 50 and effect of death rate found on the fresh water crab species Barytelphusa guerini. The paper details with mortality rate of experimental animals 50% at each 24 hours. It is calculated by statically and presented by graphically and tabulated by tables.
