Strengthening the team construction of part-time teachers is required by the transformation and development of the universities, the realization of their goals of being developed into an application-oriented universities and their talent cultivation and long-term development . The existing problem regarding the part-time teachers in current application-oriented universities are the low proportion of part-time teachers, a shortage of high level part-time teachers, the absence of relevant laws and regulations, a lack of systematic policies or financial support for part-time teachers as well as the unsound management mechanism with insufficient scientific and reasonable employment scheme for part-time teachers. To strengthen the team construction of the part-time teachers in application-oriented universities, firstly we should improve the existing laws, regulations and policies and broaden the financial support channels. Secondly, we should develop the recruitment channels for part-time teachers and pay attention to introducing high-tech and highly-skilled talents. Thirdly, we should improve the management over part-time teachers and promote their value. Fourthly, it should adopt a people-oriented management concept and establish an effective evaluation and incentive mechanism for part-time teachers

Undergraduate vocational education focuses on the cultivation of students' comprehensive technical ability, problem-solving ability and technical innovation ability. The development of undergraduate vocational education in China is the result of a combination of factors such as national strategies and regional missions. In this article, we sort out the policy documents and development history of China's vocational education and elaborate the current development, orientations, talent goals and faculty structures of undergraduate vocational education in various regions,. By the end of the article, several suggestions are proposed based on international experience and China's national conditions. China's undergraduate vocational education needs to take the"China mode" and follow the main purpose of "dual-track parallel, conditional integration". It's also highlighted that relevant departments should gradually promote the standardization of undergraduate vocational education, development of special features and standardization of governance in order to truly realize the high-quality development of undergraduate vocational education in China

Electrical Design Considerations and Packaging of Power Electronic Modules

A modern power electronic module can save significant energy usage in the power electronic systems by improving their switching efficiencies. One way to improve the efficiency of the power electronic module is to reduce its parasitic circuit elements. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the mitigation of parasitic circuit elements in power electronic modules. General methods of mitigating parasitic inductances were analyzed by the Q3D Extractor and verified by the time-domain reflectometry (TDR) measurements. In most cases, the TDR measurement results closely matched those predicted by the Q3D Extractor. These methods were applied to design and analyze a 50KVA 650V silicon carbide (SiC) half-bridge power electronic power module consisting of three separate power substrates interconnected in parallel. The layout of this power module was constrained by the existing module housing. The parasitic inductances of the power module substrates were measured by TDR, and compared to those simulated values by the Q3D Extractor. Due to the differences in the lengths of current paths, the parasitic circuit elements for the three paralleled SiC power substrates, each consisting of 10 SiC power MOSFETs and 9 SiC diodes, were different

A maximum likelihood estimate of natural mortality for brown tiger prawn (Penaeus esculentus) in Moreton Bay (Australia)

The delay difference model was implemented to fit 21 years of brown tiger prawn (Penaeus esculentus) catch in Moreton Bay by maximum likelihood to assess the status of this stock. Monte Carlo simulations testing of the stock assessment software coded in C++ showed that the model could estimate simultaneously natural mortality in addition to catchability, recruitment and initial biomasses. Applied to logbooks data collected from 1990 to 2010, this implementation of the delay difference provided for the first time an estimate of natural mortality for brown tiger prawn in Moreton Bay, equal to 0.031±0.0020.031 \pm 0.002 week−1^{-1}. This estimate is approximately 30\% lower than the value of natural mortality (0.045 week−1^{-1}) used in previous stock assessments of this species
