Different Machine Learning techniques are utilised to analyse digital music records, such as clustering, classification, similarity scoring, and identifying various properties for the different tasks. Music is represented digitally using diverse transformations and is clustered and classified successfully for Western Music. However, Eastern Music poses a challenge, and some techniques have achieved success in clustering and classifying Turkish and Persian Music. This research presents an evaluation of machine learning algorithms' performance on pre-labelled Arabic Music with their Arabic genre (Maqam). The study introduced new data representations of the Arabic music dataset and identified the most suitable machine-learning methods and future enhancements.Peer reviewe

Background: This study was aimed to evaluate the effect of sildenafil citrate on Doppler velocity indices in patients with fetal growth restriction (FGR) associated with impaired placental circulation. Methods: A double-blinded, parallel group randomized clinical trial (clinicaltrials.gov NCT02590536) was conducted in Ain Shams Maternity Hospital, in the period between October 2015 and June 2017. Ninety pregnant women with documented intrauterine growth retardation at 24-37 weeks of gestation were randomized to either sildenafil citrate 25 mg orally every 8 hours or placebo visually-identical placebo tablets with the same regimen. The primary outcome of the study was the change in umbilical artery and fetal middle cerebral artery indices. Results: There was a significant improvement in umbilical and middle cerebral artery indices after sildenafil administration p<0.001. Present study observed that, sildenafil group, in comparison to placebo, has a significantly higher mean neonatal birth weight. 1783±241g vs 1570±455g (p<0.001). There was a significantly higher mean gestational age at delivery in women in sildenafil group 35.3±1.67 weeks, whereas it was lower in the placebo group 33.5±1.7 weeks. The side effects as headache, palpitation and facial flushing were significantly higher in sildenafil group compared to placebo group. Conclusions: The use sildenafil citrate in pregnancies with fetal growth restriction (FGR) improved the feto-placental Doppler indices (pulsatility index of umbilical artery and middle cerebral artery) and improved neonatal outcomes

Symmetrical nine-phase drives with a single neutral-point: common-mode voltage analysis and reduction

Power converters generate switching common mode voltage (CMV) through the pulse width modulation (PWM). Several problems occur in the drive systems due to the generated CMV. These problems can be dangerous to the insulation and bearings of the electric machine windings. In recent years, many modulation methods have been developed to reduce the CMV in multiphase machines. Symmetrical nine-phase machines with single-neutral are considered in this paper. In this case, conventional PWM uses eight active vectors of different magnitudes in combination with two zero states in a switching cycle, and this generates maximum CMV. This paper proposes two PWM schemes to reduce the CMV in such a system. The first scheme is called active zero state (AZS). It replaces the zero vectors with suitable opposite active vectors. The second scheme uses ten large active vectors during switching and is called SVM-10L. Compared with conventional strategies, the AZS reduces the peak CMV by 22.2%, and the SVM-10L reduces the peak CMV by 88.8%. Moreover, this paper presents a carrier-based implementation of the proposed schemes to simplify the implementation. The proposed schemes are assessed using simulations and experimental studies for an induction motor load under different case studies

Late blight disease of potato and tomato, caused by Phytophthora infestans, results in serious losses to Egyptian and global potato and tomato production. To understand the structure and dynamics of the Egyptian population of P. infestans, 205 isolates were collected from potato and tomato plants during three growing seasons in 2010–2012. The characterization was achieved by mating-type assay, metalaxyl sensitivity assay, and virulence pattern. Additionally, genotyping of 85 Egyptian isolates and 15 reference UK isolates was performed using 12 highly informative microsatellite (SSR) markers David E. L. Cooke and five effector (RxLR) genes. Mating-type testing showed that 58% (118 of 205) of the isolates belonged to mating type A1, 35% (71 isolates) to mating type A2, and the rest 8% (16 isolates) were self-fertile. The phenotype of metalaxyl response was represented as 45% resistant, 43% sensitive, and 12% as intermediate. Structure analysis grouped the 85 identified genotypes into two main clonal lineages. The first clonal lineage comprised 21 isolates belonging to A2 mating type and 8 self-fertile isolates. This clonal lineage was identified as Blue_13 or EU_13_A2. The second main clonal lineage comprised 55 isolates and was identified as EU_23_A1. A single isolate with a novel SSR genotype that formed a distinct genetic grouping was also identified. The effector sequencing showed good correspondence with the virulence data and highlighted differences in the presence and absence of loci as well as nucleotide polymorphism that affect gene function. This study indicated a changing population of P. infestans in Egypt and discusses the findings in the context of late blight management
