Abstract: In this paper an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model, for predicting the Letters from twenty dissimilar fonts for each letter. The character images were, initially, based on twenty dissimilar fonts and each letter inside these twenty fonts was arbitrarily distorted to yield a file of 20,000 distinctive stimuli. Every stimulus was transformed into 16 simple numerical attributes (arithmetical moments and edge amounts) which were then ascended to be suitable into a range of numeral values from 0 to 15. We naturally chose, arbitrarily, 1,000 distinctive stimuli for this research. We made certain that the scattering remnants the similar after selecting the one thousand stimuli. In this research, a neural network tool (Just NN) was used for the purpose of predicting to classify every of a huge number of black and white four-sided pixel displays as one of the 26 capital letters in the English language

In order to study the effect of foliar spraying of growth regulators on growth, seed yield and seed quality, two field experiments were conducted at an extensive field during 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 seasons to determine following foliar spraying of Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA) concentrations, i.e. 0, 20, 40 and 60 ppm and Kinetin (Kin) concentrations, i.e. 0, 15, 30 and 45 ppm after 35 and 50 days from sown. Accumulative NAA levelsof to 60 ppm significantly increased total chlorophyll, plant height (cm),branches number/plant, number of shedding flowers, shedding %, pods and seeds number/plant,seedsnumber/pod, seed yield/plant, 100-seed weight (g), seed yield (ton/ha) and protein % in both seasons.Naphthalene Acetic Acid foliar spraying up to 60 ppm exceeded of total chlorophyll, plant height (cm), branchesnumber/plant, number of shedding flowers, podsnumber/plant, seedsnumber/pod, seedsnumber/plant, seed yield (g) /plant, 100-seed weight (g), seed yield (ton/ha) and protein % by 11.47, 23.92, 92.88, 20.53, 11.87, 23.48, 14.16, 24.91, 26.15 and 13.23%, respectively as the average of both seasons. But, reduced the shedding percentage by 11.91% as the average oftwo seasons. Kinetin (Kin) foliar spraying up to 45 ppm significantly increased total chlorophyll, plant height (cm), number of branches/plant, number of shedding flowers, shedding %, pods and seeds number/plant,number of seeds/pod, seed yield/plant, 100-seed weight (g), seed yield (ton/ha) and protein % in both seasons. It could be noticed that foliar spraying of Kinetin (Kin) concentrationsup to 45 ppm exceeded total chlorophyll, plant height (cm), branchesnumber/plant, number of shedding flowers, podsnumber/plant, seedsnumber/pod, seedsnumber/plant, seed yield /plant, 100-seed weight (g), seed yield (ton/ha) and protein % by 12.16, 19.39, 61.64, 5.60, 5.56, 6.96, 5.64, 18.75, 13.38 and 4.39%, respectively as average of both seasons. But, reduced the shedding % by 14.73 % as the average of both seasons. It could be recommended that foliar spraying of Naphthalene Acetic Acid up to 60 ppm and Kin of 45 ppm improved seed yield/ha by 38.2% compared without foliar application

An Improved ICI Self Cancellation Scheme for OFDM Systems Under Various Channels

    Get PDF
Inter Carrier Interference (ICI) is being introduced in OFDM due to the carrier frequency offset (CFO), which will degrade the system performance and efficiency at higher modulation levels and it decreases the performance of power amplifiers. Hence, here in this paper, we introduced a novel ICI reduction algorithms cancellation under the various channel environments such as AWGN, Rayleigh and also Rician. Simulation results have been compared with existing and proposed schemes under these channel specifications and concluded that the Rayleigh has performed far better than the AWGN and Rician channel distributions in terms of Bit Error Rate (BER) and Carrier interference Ration (CIR) performance

1,3-Disubstituted-4-thioxoimidazolidin-2-one derivatives with various substituents at N1 and N3 were synthesized with high yields and excellent purity by the reaction of various N-arylcyanothioformamide derivatives with isocyanate derivatives. The activity of these products as antibacterial and antifungal agents was studied to through some light on structural activity relationship. Some of synthesized compounds showed significant antibacterial and antifungal activities. Most of the imidazole derivatives possess significant antifungal activity aginst S. cerevisiae (MIC 1–10 µg mL–1). As comparision with ketoconazole, most of the imidazole derivatives showed activity ranging from 50 % less activity to fourfold activity. A germination experiment was carried out in rice to study the role played by various antioxidants on germination parameters under salt stress in some rice cultivars. The results indicated that the highest germination percentage, rate (days), index and speed were recorded in Sakha 106 cultivar. An increase in the concentration of salt from 100 mM to 300 mM resulted in a reduction in these parameters. Pretreatment of the seeds with Humic acid at 500ppm increased these studied parameters. All studied characters were affected by the interaction between rice cultivars, salinity concentrations and antioxidants. In general, the study suggested that antioxidant pretreatment in rice seeds  can be considered as a potential tool to enhance germination parameters under salinity stress, especially in rice Sakha 106 cultivars

An investigation was conducted to study the response of antioxidants seed priming on rice cultivars and their effect on germination under salinity levels. The result indicated that the highest in shoot height (cm), root height (cm), seedling vigor index, and other related parameters, relative dry weight% were produced from Sakha 106 cultivar. The lowest seedling height reduction % was produced from Sakha 106 cultivar. An enhancement in salt concentration resulted a reduction in all studied parameters except seedling height reduction %. The results indicated the highest  shoot height (cm), root height (cm),seedling vigor index, shoot fresh and dry weight (mg), root fresh and dry weight (mg), relative dry weight% and seedling height reduction % from which soaking, as pretreatment, in Humic acid at 500ppm. The interactions between cultivars, salinity concentration and antioxidants were insignificant on some traits. It could be concluded that to improve seedling parameters of rice cultivars under salinity stress; it could be recommended that soaking Sakha 106 cultivar seed in Humic acid at 500 ppm for 24 h. It can be used in breeding program to boost production in Egyptian territory

Towards Augmenting Federated Wireless Sensor Networks

AbstractEnvironmental Monitoring (EM) has witnessed significant improvements in recent years due to the great utility of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). Nevertheless, due to harsh operational conditions in such applications, WSNs often suffer large scale damage in which nodes fail concurrently and the network gets partitioned into disjoint sectors. Thus, reestablishing connectivity between the sectors, via their remaining functional nodes, is of utmost importance in EM; especially in forestry. In this regard, considerable work has been proposed in the literature tackling this problem by deploying Relay Nodes (RNs) aimed at re-establishing connectivity. Although finding the minimum relay count and positions is NP-Hard, efficient heuristic approaches have been anticipated. However, the majority of these approaches ignore the surrounding environment characteristics and the infinite 3-Dimensional (3-D) search space which significantly degrades network performance in practice. Therefore, we propose a 3-D grid-based deployment for relay nodes in which the relays are efficiently placed on grid vertices. We present a novel approach, named FADI, based on a minimum spanning tree construction to re-connect the disjointed WSN sectors. The performance of the proposed approach is validated and assessed through extensive simulations, and comparisons with two main stream approaches are presented. Our protocol outperforms the related work in terms of the average relay node count and distribution, the scalability of the federated WSNs in large scale applications, and the robustness of the topologies formed

In order to improve sunflower productivity, this investigation aimed to study the performance of some genotypes to different doses of nitrogen and plant population density on seed yield and yield components. Two field Experiments carried out on the Experimental Farm of the Sakha Agriculture Research Station during 2015 and 2016 seasons. The objective of this study aimed to investigate the performance of some sunflower hybrids to different nitrogen fertilizer rates and plant population densities to growth, yield components, seed yield and its quality. The results indicated that tallest plants, highest leaves number/plant, number of achenes/head and highest values of head diameter were obtained from MS.sirena F1 genotype. Biest Brima genotype recorded the highest values of leaf area. The highest weight of 1000 seed and seed yield/ha were recorded from Nsovak genotype. The increases in nitrogen fertilizer rates to 168 Kg N/ha produced tallest plants, thick stems (cm), the highest leaves number/plant, leaf area (cm2), number of achenes/head, head diameter (cm), 1000 achene weight (gm) and achene yield (Kg/ha) in both seasons. It could observed that increasing nitrogen fertilizer from 72 to 168 Kg N/ha significantly increased seed yield by 12.0 and 11.6 % in the first and second seasons, respectively. Increasing hill spacing from 15, 20 and 25 cm produced thickness stem, highest number of leaves/plant, highest values of leaf area, maximum number of achenes/head, head diameter and weight of 1000 achene. The tallest plants and highest and achene yield were produced from 20cm hill spacing. It could concluded that increasing nitrogen fertilizer from 72 to 168 Kg N/ha and sown Nsovak genotype at dense hill spacing of 15 cm between plants maximized seed yield per unite area
