A range extension for Haplomitrium mnioides (Lindb.) R.M.Schust.
Haplomitrium mnioides (Lindb.) R.M.Schust. is reported as new to Hainan Island. A continuous distribution of H. mnioides from west (Thailand) to east (Japan) is confirmed. Habitat pictures and a distribution map are provided
Description of two new species of Hypogastrura Bourlet, 1839 of the H. crassaegranulata group (Collembola: Hypogastruridae) from the Caucasus, with notes on some related species
A revision of ‘Hypogastrura crassaegranulata’ material from the eastern Palaearctic was done as all records before 2006 referred to H. crassaegranulata have become unclear after recent redescription of the species. It shown that among four forms mentioned under this name by Babenko et al. (1994) none belongs to true H. crassaegranulata. Two of these forms are in fact species new to science described and illustrated below as H. tepli sp. n. and H. aushensis sp. n. (Russia, Northern Caucasus). Two others appear to be H. franconiana (Stach, 1949) and H. szeptyckii Skarżyński, 2006 firstly recorded from Kazakhstan (Tien Shan) and Ukraine (Carpathians), respectively
Gas Sensing with h-BN Capped MoS2 Heterostructure Thin Film Transistors
We have demonstrated selective gas sensing with molybdenum disulfide (MoS2)
thin films transistors capped with a thin layer of hexagonal boron nitride
(h-BN). The resistance change was used as a sensing parameter to detect
chemical vapors such as ethanol, acetonitrile, toluene, chloroform and
methanol. It was found that h-BN dielectric passivation layer does not prevent
gas detection via changes in the source-drain current in the active MoS2 thin
film channel. The use of h-BN cap layers (thickness H=10 nm) in the design of
MoS2 thin film gas sensors improves device stability and prevents device
degradation due to environmental and chemical exposure. The obtained results
are important for applications of van der Waals materials in chemical and
biological sensing.Comment: 3 pages; 4 figure
Multiple H-Rearrangements in 10-Benzylthio-dithranol Radical Cations
10-Alkylthio- and 10-arylthio-derivatives of dithranol (anthralin;
1,8-dihydroxy-9-anthrone) are of interest in search for new anti-psoriatic
agents2 , 3 ). By working out ms procedures for unequivocal identification of
trace amounts of these compounds4 ) it was established that in case of
10-phenylthio-dithranol putative by-products, especially one giving rise to
ions at m/z = 226 (dithranol), are artefacts of thermal reaction in the mass
spectrometer1). In the EI-MS of those 10-substituted dithranols containing
a S-CH2R chain, however, these ions (m/z = 226) arise from M + * as well.
Scope and mechanism of their formation was examined by analyzing
compound 1 and its D-labelled derivatives 2 and 3
