Comment on 'Generalized Heisenberg algebra coherent states for power-law potentials'
We argue that the statistical features of generalized coherent states for
power-law potentials based on Heisenberg algebra, presented in a recent paper
by Berrada et al (Phys. Lett. A, 375, 298 (2011)) are incorrect.Comment: 9 pages, 1 figur
Impact of CRM adoption on organizational performance: Moderating role of technological turbulence
Purpose
Customer relationship management (CRM) is instrumental to attain and sustain organizational competitive advantage. Innovation in terms of CRM adoption is the key to gain competitive advantage, and being innovative is dependent on how well organizations know about changing demands of customers and their changing ways to gain access to the market. There is hence a need to develop ongoing empirical insights from diverse management perspectives into the effect of CRM adoption on organizational performance. In this context, the purpose of this study is to develop empirical insights in relation to the moderation of technological turbulence in the banking sector.
Design/methodology/approach
Primary data were collected and analyzed from 277 CRM staff-members of the banking sector in Pakistan to test a conceptual model. Frequencies of demographics are calculated with correlation and regression analyses using SPSS. The correlation analysis was performed to identify the direction that exists between the dependent and independent variables, and the regression analysis was performed to study the strength/intensity of the independent variable over the dependent variable. Moderating regression analysis was performed to find the moderation effect of technological turbulence on CRM adoption and organizational performance.
Findings
The CRM adoption has a critical positive impact on organizational performance in the settings of business-to-customer (B2C) perspective in the banking sector. Moreover, the results uncover that improved client satisfaction through CRM adoption prompts better organizational performance in the B2C organization. The authors also have found that technological turbulence has a negative guiding impact on the association linking with CRM adoption, as well as organizational performance.
Research limitations/implications
The conceptual model that is proposed in this study and supported by empirical insights offers researchers to develop future research studies on the moderating role of technological turbulence to analyze the influence of CRM adoption on organizational performance.
Practical implications
The empirical insights of this study are valuable for the professionals in the banking sector and other B2C organizations to enrich their organizational performance through CRM adoption while considering the moderating role of technological turbulence.
Originality/value
Based on an empirical study, in support of an original conceptual model, the insights of this paper contribute to the extant literature in the CRM, bank marketing and management, service management, B2C marketing and the emerging economy knowledge streams
Fabrication Of A Sealed Off Co2 Gas Laser
This study consists of two parts. In the first part a mathematical model for sealed-off
CW C02 laser is developed. The developed model based on the four-temperature
model and is developed by modifying the steady state C02 laser model presented by
Scott et al. [28]. The equations relating the modes energy verses intra cavity optical
intensity in equilibrium are used for modelling. An energy balance equation
involving the terms of power loading, optical power removed and power loss in the
form of the heat removed through the laser tube walls is derived. The variation in the
output power as the power loading is varied is predicted using the model. The
predicted results of output power respective to the power loading are found to show
the similar response as found experimentally.
In second part a sealed off CO2 laser is fabricated using custom-made air-cooled
laser tube with internal mirror design and power supply. Both laser tube and power
supply are placed in custom made wooden box. The box is especially built for
housing the laser components. The cooling of the laser tube and power supply is achieved by using four fans. An electronic circuitry to measure the laser tube
temperature is developed. The laser is operated both in continuous wave mode as
well as in pulse mode. A maximum power of 12.2 Watts is measured during
continuous wave mode operation at a current of 14 mA. The output power is found to
decrease with further increase in current. During pulsed operation, the energy of the
optical pulses is found to be maximum at 100 Hz and a decrease in the pulse energy
is detected with further increase in the pulse repetition rate.
The temperature is found to be the major factor effecting the laser power. Without
fans the temperature of the laser tube is found to reach to 85 ° C in 10 minutes. The
output power is also found to drop to zero at 85 ° C . However with running fans, the
maximum temperature that laser tube wall could reach is found to be 55 °C
independent of the time. The laser power at 55 ° C is found to be 9 Watts.
The threshold and steady state voltage at the laser tube electrodes is also measured
and is found to be 15640 volts and 8160 volts respectively. The C02 laser is useful
for industrial drilling, welding, cutting and for air ionization or discharge
applications. The purpose of this research is to design 14 Watt CO2 gas laser for air
ionisation and high voltage sphere gap triggering in the subsequent research
Efficiency and Performance of Islamic and Conventional banks in Pakistan
The main object/motif of this research is to find the efficacy and achievement of Islamic banking in comparison of the government and private phrases of the customary banking in Pakistan. This study is based on the data taken from banking sectors of Karachi stock exchange, Official web sites of the bank and Google. In banking Sector three Islamic banks, 3 government banks and 3 private banks have been selected. Here, the statement of the financial-year 2008-2012 year are being used and we are to derive the sequences of the efficiency and achievement of interest - free banking. This research drive that there are no clear differences between interest-free and interest-based banking in view of profitability. The result of this research will portrait the real picture of Islamic banking and it will be a good guide line for the policy makers. The derivations of this research may also be very helpful for the Islamic banks to enable them in developing their performance. This research will pave the way of the decision maker understand the efficiency and performance of Islamic banks. Profitability, Liquidity, Risk and credit Risks are the ratio to gauge the efficiency and performance, the financial statement of the cited banks is the ground on which these ratios are utilized
