    INTERNAL DISORDER PATTERN AMONG CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS WITH SPEECH DISORDERS

    The study explored general and specific characteristics of the internal disorder pattern among children and adolescents with speech impairments. The internal disorder pattern is considered an integrative construct that demonstrates the perception and attitude of a person to his disorder and includes components: physical (assessment of their physical activity and attributes), sensitive (complex of feelings associated with a disorder), cognitive (knowledge about disorder causes, symptoms and their health limited opportunities), motivational (motives and its possible change caused by a disorder) and emotional (individual’s attitude to their disorder). The internal disorder pattern affects I-concept development and is significant for an individual’s successful social adaptation. The sample consisted of 88 participants – preschoolers (т=20), elementary school children (т=33) and adolescents (n=35). The results show the differences of the cognitive and affective components (p≤0,05). The formation of the internal picture of the defect makes a greater contribution to the problems of adaptation in children of primary school age compared to other age groups.

    PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING OF THE DYAD OF PARTNERS WITH DISABILITIES

    The relevance of the scientific problem and the scientific novelty are due to the social demand of society for studying problems related to the subjective well-being of people with disabilities. The focus of our attention is the psychological well-being of dyads in close relationships (romantic or marital). The aim of the study is to analyze the psychological well-being in a dyad of partners who are in close relationships. The article analyzes the characteristics inherent in close relations of couples in which one of the partners has a disability. Using the Scale of Adaptation and Cohesion (FACES-3)), the levels of adaptation and cohesion of the dyads were revealed. Methods Quality of life Enjoyment and Satisfaction Questionnaire examines quality of life and subjective well-being, assesses the degree of subjective satisfaction with emotional and social spheres, health, activity in free time. Particularly analyzed data of a semi-structured interview. Empirically revealed differences in the understanding of their own close relationships depending on the health status of the partner. Dyads, including partners with disabilities, demonstrate a high level of satisfaction, average cohesion values, partial balance. The study is complex, and now there is a clear prospect for its continuation.

    Variants of inward disorder pattern among adolescents with different dysontogenesis

    Adolescence is one of the key stages of personality development. That of adolescents with disabilities follows a non-disabled pattern. However, the process is affected by dysontogenesis, which is considered a factor that significantly affects personality development. Inward disorder pattern (IDP) is considered a complex integrative construct; a system of one’s sensations, knowledge, emotional experiences, motivation shifts caused by a disorder. IDP is considered a component of I-concept, a factor affecting its development and crucial for an individual’s functioning. Aim of the research: to identify the IDP variants of adolescents with disabilities. The sample consisted of 109 adolescents with disabilities. Their average age is 14.  High indices on one or several IDP components serve to distinguish the IDP variants among adolescents. Each IDP variant is marked by respondents’ specific personal traits and I-concept features. The analysis of the ratio reveals an individual’s general behavioral pattern and attitude to their disorder.
