    Perbedaan Pengetahuan dan Sikap Remaja Sekolah Lanjutan Tingkat Pertama Tentang Pencegahan HIV dan AIDS dengan Menggunakan Video dan Leaflet di Surakarta

    Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is a disease that a very high number of patients with a total of 2,498 cases in Central Java (2014) and become a global problem, which was found about 0.8% aged 15-49 years worldwide suffering from Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). The purpose of this study was to analyze differences in knowledge and attitudes of secondary school adolescents on the prevention of HIV and AIDS by using video and leaflets in Surakarta. This research uses quasi experimental with pretest-posttest design without control group. The population in this study is a junior high school students of class VII, VIII and IX as many as 379 students. The sample selection proportionale using stratified random sampling, divided into two groups: group video and leaflets with 80 samples. Statistical test using Paired sample t-test, showed no difference in the average score of knowledge 11.60 (p=0.000) and attitude 58.85 (p = 0.000) in the group given the video after treatment and no difference in the average score of knowledge 12.52 (p=0.041) and attitude 60.80 (p=0.041) in the group given the leaflet after treatment. The test results Independent sample t-test showed no difference in the effect of health education on HIV and AIDS between using video and leaflets to knowledge (p=0.145) and attitude (p=0.170) in adolescents in the prevention of HIV and AIDS.
