ACQUISITION AND MODELING OF A SPECTRUM IN A NON THERMAL EQUILIBRIUM PLASMA FORMED IN AIR WITH WATER

    Get PDF
Spectra in the range of 365-385 nm, corresponding to the Schumann-Runge system of O2 (B33u - X33-g) and to the second positive system of N2 (C30u - B30g) are measured by optical emission spectroscopy in a discharge with liquid non-metallic electrodes (DLNME) in air with water at atmospheric pressure. They are simulated theoretically. This discharge generates a non-equilibrium plasma. In this paper, we first describe the experimental set up. Then, we explain the method of spectra simulation. By comparison of measured and simulated spectra, we determine the rotational and vibrational temperature and the ratio between densities of two upper electronic quantum levels of the two considered systems. The possible mechanism of spectra formation is discussed

Monatomic Excitation Temperature in Theoretical Study of Discharge with Liquid Non-Metallic (Tap Water) Electrodes in Air at Atmospheric Pressure

The discharge with liquid non-metallic electrodes under study is out of thermal equilibrium. From probe and micro-wave absorption measurements the electronic concentration has been evaluated. The spectral intensities of N2 and Oxygen triplet have been measured locally. In this work, we propose to compare the results of calculation with the experimental results for two hypotheses on the monatomic excitation temperature. The first is when we assume the monatomic excitation temperature close to heavy particle translational temperature and the second is when we assume the monatomic excitation temperature close to the electronic translational temperature

On the floating of the topological surface state on top of a thick lead layer: The case of the Pb/Bi2Se3 interface

The puzzling question about the floating of the topological surface state on top of a thick Pb layer, has now possibly been answered. A study of the interface made by Pb on Bi2Se3 for different temperature and adsorbate coverage condition, allowed us to demonstrate that the evidence reported in the literature can be related to the surface diffusion phenomenon exhibited by the Pb atoms, which leaves the substrate partially uncovered. Comprehensive density functional theory calculations show that despite the specific arrangement of the atoms at the interface, the topological surface state cannot float on top of the adlayer but rather tends to move inward within the substrate.Comment: 9 pages, 5 figure

Digital transformation is a key determinant in global economic growth and development. There are serious risks of digitalization of markets and society. In order to understand the key trends in consumer behavior under the conditions of digital economy, the analytics of various global consulting companies such as McKinsey Global Institute (MGI), the consulting company Gartner, Inc., companies Deloitte, Bain & C, Forrester Consulting were summarized in this study. Based on the analysis, the main shifts in consumer behavior in the post-industrial society during the transformation of the service economy into the consumer environment of the digital economy are determined. The article describes the changes in the pReferences and behavior of customers in the post-industrial economy under the influence of digital transformations. The result of the study led to the understanding of the fact that the buyer cannot predict his/her experience, since the participation of the buyer himself/herself in determining the value is increasingly required, which leads to the formation of the phenomenon of “co-creation of the value”

Staff education resource regarded as the capital asset of a company

Personnel training lasts a lifetime. This is what the existing system of persistent professional education is aimed at. This system implies the possibility of continuing the education at any moment of life from the level at which a person stopped previously. In the article, the concept of continuous professional training in the context of its methodology is considered and the key features of human and education resources are discovered. The particular attention is paid to the issue of obsolescence of the staff education resource and the rationale for its diagnostics conducted through the audit of intellectual capital. The necessity of development of the educational resource for the staff of a modern company and the consequent increase of its competitiveness is presented

Investigation of the influence of the geometrical dimensions of the striker on the efficiency of energy transfer of shock pulses during wave strain hardening

    No full text
The article presents data on the influence of the geometric parameters of a flat-faced rod shock system on the efficiency of a shock pulse energy transfer to the deformation zone during wave strain hardening. As a result of the simulation, it was found that an increase in the ratio of the striker length to its diameter from 0.1 to 10 allows transferring 15.6 times more shock pulse energy to the deformation area. Changing the ratio of the lengths of the striker and the waveguide from 0.1 to 10 increases the share of the transmitted shock pulse energy by 2.8 times

Under the conditions created by the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions, the top priority is to ensure the well-being of citizens as the main state development indicator. The volume of construction of industrial facilities is increasing under these conditions in Russia. State authorities and local governments take measures to protect the population from natural and man-induces emergencies, as well as to reduce the risk of their occurrence within the Russian Federation. In Russia, the concept of building and developing Safe City Hardware and Software Complex (HSC) is being implemented, which allows to monitor the condition of buildings, structures, to ensure the operation of message receiving and processing systems, emergency call systems, as well as other municipal services of various activities; monitoring, forecasting, notification and management systems of all types of risks and threats peculiar to a municipal corporation [7]. The authors have developed various algorithms to automate the processes. Algorithm for characteristics recognition of man-induced incidents aimed to improve the accuracy of emergency identification when incomplete source information regarding the current situation is received, as well as the structure of an information decision-making support system while managing forces and means of emergency response based on SAFE CITY HSC

The article raises the problem of reducing pressure in the deformation zone during hardening of plastic materials by shock pulses. It is proposed to use the method of wave strain hardening and its multi-contact loading scheme as its solution. To accelerate the study of the influence of WSH technological parameters on the process of plastic material hardening, its finite element modeling is used. From the obtained patterns, the most significant technological parameters of the multi-contact WSH process were established and the ranges of their values providing effective hardening of plastic materials are given
