    Beyond the black disk limit: from shadow to antishadow scattering mode

    New mode in the hadron scattering is predicted to appear at the energies beyond s2\sqrt{s}\simeq 2 TeV: the antishadow scattering mode and the experiments at LHC and VLHC in hadronic reactions will be able to reveal it. The appearance of the antishadow scattering mode at these energies is considered on the basis of unitarity and geometrical notions of hadron interactions. Connections with the nonperturbative--QCD models are discussed.Comment: 25 pages, 2 figure

    Reflective Elastic Scattering at LHC

    We discuss effects of reflective scattering for hadron and heavy nuclei collisions at the LHC and asymptotical energies. It is shown that the reflective scattering might lead to decreasing matter density with energy beyond the LHC energies. Limiting form of energy dependence of hadron density is obtained. Unitarity upper bound for the absolute value of the real part of elastic scattering amplitude and two-particle inelastic binary reactions amplitudes in impact parameter representation is two times less than the corresponding bound for the imaginary part of the elastic scattering amplitude.     Stabilizing perovskite solar cells with modified indium oxide electron transport layer

    Despite the impressive progress, the perovskite solar cells are still under the stage of laboratory research, mainly because of their inferior operational stability. To improve the device lifetime, one of the most important strategies is to eliminate the undesirable side reactions between the functional layers. In this study, we present the thermal oxidation method to yield high-quality pristine and modified indium oxide films applied as efficient electron transport layers (ETLs) for perovskite cells in a planar n-i-p configuration. The cells incorporating In2O3 as ETL material can deliver comparable efficiencies with the reference SnO2- based devices while showing much superior operational stability. We attributed the observed stabilizing effect of indium oxide to its reduced chemical activity at the interface with the perovskite absorber layer. In particular, In2O3 can hardly oxidize I- to molecular iodine on the contrary to SnO2 and TiO2 known for their photocatalytic activity. We believe that this study may provide researchers with general guidelines to develop a large variety of ETL materials for efficient yet stable perovskite cells

    Reynolds Stress Model Adjustments for Separated Flows

    The development of a new Reynolds stress model suitable for computations of separated flows is described. It is based on the recently published version of SSG/LRRmodel, which includes a correction eliminating streamline back-bending near the reattachment point. Modifications are proposed which reduce the turbulence kinetic energy dissipation rate and pressure-strain term near the separation point. The validation results using the Diverging channel flow test case are presented. The quality of the obtained results is assessed

    Adaptive Regularized Zero-Forcing Beamforming in Massive MIMO with Multi-Antenna Users

    Modern wireless cellular networks use massive multiple-input multiple-output technology. This involves operations with an antenna array at a base station that simultaneously serves multiple mobile devices that also use multiple antennas on their side. For this, various Beamforming and Detection techniques are used, allowing each user to receive the signal intended for him from the base station. There is an important class of linear Precoding called Regularized Zero-Forcing. In this work, we propose a special kind of regularization matrix with different regularizations for different UE, using singular values of multi-antenna users. The proposed algorithm has a simple analytical formula and is provided with theoretical study. We also show the results in comparison with other linear Precoding algorithms on simulations with the Quadriga channel model. The proposed approach leads to a significant increase in quality with the same computation time as in the baseline methods.Comment: 14 pages, 7 figures, 3 table

    Gear Ratios of the Eccentric Roller Bearing with a Leading Outer Ring

    Создание и использование перспективных конструкций эксцентриковых подшипников качения (ЭПК) во многом затруднено недостаточным развитием методов их расчета и анализа особенностей работы. В данной работе рассматривается решение задачи определения передаточных отношений эксцентрикового подшипника качения (ЭПК) для случая преобразования вращательного движения ведущего наружного кольца в поступательное перемещение выходного внутреннего кольца, соединённого с исполнительным органом технологической машины. Определены формулы для расчёта передаточных отношений от входного наружного кольца к его ведомым звеньям: телам качения, сепаратору и внутреннему кольцу. Получены зависимости, определяющие закономерности линейного перемещения выходного кольца подшипника от геометрических параметров ЭПК и угла поворота ведущего кольца. Разработанные методы кинематического анализа позволяют проектировать эксцентриковые подшипники качения с требуемыми кинематическими параметрами, обосновывать область их применения как в виде отдельных узлов, так и в составе механических приводов для реализации заданных законов движенияThe creation and use of promising designs of eccentric rolling bearings (ERВ) is largely hampered by the insufficient development of methods for their calculation and analysis of work features. This paper examines the solution to the problem of determining the gear ratios of an eccentric rolling bearing for the case of converting the rotational motion of the driving outer ring into the translational movement of the output inner ring connected to the executive body of the technological machine. Formulas are defined for calculating the gear ratios from the input outer ring to its driven links: rolling elements, separator and inner ring. Dependencies determining the regularities of linear displacement of the bearing output ring on the geometric parameters of the ERВ and the angle of rotation of the drive ring are obtained. The developed methods of kinematic analysis make it possible to design eccentric rolling bearings with the required kinematic parameters, to justify the scope of their application both in the form of individual units and as part of mechanical drives to implement specified laws of motio

    Energy Resolution Performance of the CMS Electromagnetic Calorimeter

    The energy resolution performance of the CMS lead tungstate crystal electromagnetic calorimeter is presented. Measurements were made with an electron beam using a fully equipped supermodule of the calorimeter barrel. Results are given both for electrons incident on the centre of crystals and for electrons distributed uniformly over the calorimeter surface. The electron energy is reconstructed in matrices of 3 times 3 or 5 times 5 crystals centred on the crystal containing the maximum energy. Corrections for variations in the shower containment are applied in the case of uniform incidence. The resolution measured is consistent with the design goals
