Bacterial blight, caused by Xylophilus ampelinus (PANAGOPOULUS) WILLEMS et al. is a destructive disease of grapevine (Vitis vinifera). Incubation of cuttings at 15 °C for three days under moist conditions significantly increased the number of isolated X. ampelinus colonies.
