A note on nonparametric testing for Gaussian innovations in AR-ARCH models
In this paper we consider autoregressive models with conditional
autoregressive variance, including the case of homoscedastic AR-models and the
case of ARCH models. Our aim is to test the hypothesis of normality for the
innovations in a completely nonparametric way, i. e. without imposing
parametric assumptions on the conditional mean and volatility functions. To
this end the Cram\'er-von Mises test based on the empirical distribution
function of nonparametrically estimated residuals is shown to be asymptotically
distribution-free. We demonstrate its good performance for finite sample sizes

Enabling mobile commerce through mass customization
Mobile Commerce is a new degree of electronic commerce arises from the convergence of Internet and mobile communication technologies. In order to be successful in mobile business, it is not sufficient to simply transfer conventional Internet applications or E-Commerce business models on mobile devices. Added values for the customer are necessary. Typical informational added values in Mobile Commerce originate from ubiquity, context-sensitivity, identifying functions or command and control functions. Mobile devices implicate disadvantes, which can be equalized by individualization. For the simplest devices, this is satisfied with simple features like housings, ring tones or logos. The more upmarket the device is, the more the individualization focus is laid on the applications instead of the device itself. In terms of mass customization, the individualization of mobile devices and applications can be categorized as soft customization. Below this level, three kinds of customization habe to be distinguished: The first on is device adaptation which means the customization of the device itself. The next one is application adaptation and describes the customization of the applications through the customer or as self-individualization of the software. The last one is service composition and means the package of services or the customer-individual composition of applications and services, which ca be done either by the customer, by the provider or by collaboration of both. In this paper we show the importance of mass customization and its techniques for the success of mobile commerce.mass customization; M-Commerce; mobile added values; point-of-delivery-customization; service composition
Acceptance criterias for mobile payment procedures
The availability of accepted mobile payment procedures is an important condition for business profit of mobile commerce supply in business-to-customer context. Firstly, general considerations lead to the assumption about acceptance of mobile payment and mobile payment procedures that the decision about acceptance or not-acceptance of a mobile payment procedure is almost only made by the customer. Secondly, it is examined which criteria would be the most important ones for the decision. The result of this article is the development of a bundle of acceptance criteria by which on the one hand any procedure can be classified, which is exemplarily shown, and on the other hand a requirement specification and preference structure of any user can be presented. The morphological box can be used both for customers and merchants. A customer can compare a mobile payment procedure with his own preferences in a structured way and the merchant has the option to do a comparison of the usefulness of different mobile payment procedures in accordance with his customers’ preferences.
Large Deviations for High Minima of Gaussian Processes with Nonnegatively Correlated Increments
In this article we prove large deviations principles for high minima of
Gaussian processes with nonnegatively correlated increments on arbitrary
intervals. Furthermore, we prove large deviations principles for the increments
of such processes on intervals where is either less than the
increment or twice the increment, assuming stationarity of the increments. As a
chief example, we consider fractional Brownian motion and fractional Gaussian
noise for .Comment: Comments welcome
Uniform convergence rates and automatic variabel selection in nonparametric regression with functional and categorical covariates
In Selk and Gertheiss (2022) a nonparametric prediction method for models
with multiple functional and categorical covariates is introduced. The
dependent variable can be categorical (binary or multi-class) or continuous,
thus both classification and regression problems are considered. In the paper
at hand the asymptotic properties of this method are developed. A uniform rate
of convergence for the regression / classification estimator is given. Further
it is shown that, asymptotically, a data-driven least squares cross-validation
method can automatically remove irrelevant, noise variables
