    Octafluorocalix[4]pyrrole: a chloride/bicarbonate antiport agent

    No full text
Meso-Octamethyloctafluorocalixpyrrole, a simple tetrapyrrolic macrocycle, has been shown to function as both a chloride/nitrate and a chloride/bicarbonate antiport agent for lipid bilayer transmembrane anion transport. This is the first example of a synthetic macrocyclic pyrrole-based receptor capable of transmembrane bicarbonate transport.<br/

Structural and molecular recognition studies with acyclic anion receptors

    No full text
Acyclic molecules containing amides, ureas, and pyrrole groups have proven to be effective and selective anion-binding agents. In this Account, the structural chemistry of isophthalamide anion complexes, ortho-phenylenediamine based bis-ureas, and amidopyrroles, as well as anion-triggered deprotonation processes in neutral anion receptor systems, are discussed

Palladium-Catalyzed Cross-Coupling Reactions of Arylsiloxanes with Aryl Halides: Application to Solid-Supported Organic Synthesis

    Get PDF
The solid-phase version of the Pd-catalyzed Hiyama reaction between a variety of aryltriethoxysilanes and immobilized aryl halides was developed. Smooth crosscoupling was achieved to afford the corresponding biaryl products in moderate to excellent yields. The described protocol would be particularly useful for the construction of 4′-substituted 1,1′-biphenyl derivativesFil: Traficante, Carla Inés.
