A comparison of odour annoyance survey results

The results of the Dutch 'WKJ'-odour-annoyance survey, administered throughout the Netherlands, are subjected to principal component analyses. The factor structures obtained are compared with the results of the German Winneke and Kastka survey. The three factor structure from that survey was not replicated. Suggestions for the sources of the differences are given and a lower dimensional factor structure of odour-annoyance is proposed
