Rural poverty is the main problem to overcome national can not be delayed andshould be a priority in the implementation of social welfare development.Government in poverty alleviation and job creation in rural areas, has launchedMandiri National Community Empowerment Program (PNPM-M). The presenceof the PNPM-Mandiri through PUAP is expected to change the societies, both interms of income and income distribution. From the results showed that therespondents´ income from the agricultural sector amounted to Rp 124,387,319 or90.9% of total revenue. Revenue from non-agricultural sector amounted to Rp12.425 million or 9.1% of total income respondents, the average income permonth of Rp 5,472,493. Through analysis of the income distribution ofrespondents´ income, gini index ratio of 0.35 at the farmer respondents. Thisfigure shows that there is inequality in the income of farmers was lower inresponders. This can occur because of differences in income are quite evenlyamong respondents. Based on the analysis of the level of welfare by theDirectorate of Rural Development Year 1991/1992, as many as 81% or 20 kk ofthe respondents had been in poor condition. This indicates that the purpose of theprogram is to increase the level PUAP welfare/beneficiary PUAP fund has beenreached.Keywords: PUAP, revenue, income distribution

Analisis Usaha dan Strategi Pemasaran pada Penangkaran Ikan Arwana di PT Sumatera Aquaprima Buana Kelurahan Muara Fajar Kecamatan Rumbai Kota Pekanbaru

Arwana fish (Scleropages formosus) is categorized as protected wild animal. This fish hasexclusive and beautiful appearance and it is used as prestigious symbol, pride and lucky charm.This research was conducted at PT. Sumatera Aquaprima Buana in Muara Fajar, Rumbai,Pekanbaru, from October until December 2008. The result showed that the production ofArwana fish in 1 period (3 months) produced 1.927 fish with various selling prince with theearning of Rp. 732.260.000, and the net earning was Rp. 420.171.683,33 by RCR 2,35. It isefficient because the RCR is more than 1 so this business is a prospective one. SWOT Analysisresulted in three priorities: 1) Minimize net-operating cost for fish meal by producing own fishmeal, 2) Expand the market share by expanding marketing network. 3) Join exhibition tostimulate local or domestic consumers

This research aims to analyze the income of Root Water trader at Tampan Subdistrict, Pekanbaru City. Root Water is a traditional healthy drink from West Sumatera. This is the first research that talks about Root Water at Agribusiness Major, Agricultural Faculty, Riau University. Method which is used at this research is census method. The amount of respondent on this research are 21 traders. Business scale of this research is categorized as micro-scale business, as the number of employee that is participated on this business is only one or two participant per single operational day. None of the business owner at this research went bankrupt. According to the result of this research, the number of average net profit (advantage) from root water trader at Tampan Subdistrict Pekanbaru City is Rp.3.591.390,-

Persepsi Petani terhadap Pentingnya Peran Penyuluhan Perkebunan Karet (Hevea Brasiliensis Muell Arg) di Kecamatan Hulu Kuantan Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi

The purposes of this study are to figure out the implementation of extension and farmers' perception toward the importance of the role of extension in rubber plantation in Kuantan Hulu Sub-district Kuantan Singingi Regency. The survey method was used in the research, while Random Sampling was also used as the sampling technique. The number of respondents were 49 samples. In terms of analyzing the data, Scale of Liker's Summated Rating (LSR) was used. The Result showed that, the plantation extension activities in Kuantan Hulu Sub-district have been going quite well as it can be observed upon the completeness of the extension programs and the elements of extension. The role of extension in plantation is important in the rubber farming activities with independent scheme that is observed from the education sub-variable, dissemination, facilitation, consultation, supervision, and monitoring and evaluation

Analisis Modal Sosial dalam Program Pemberdayaan Masyarakat di Desa Sungai Pinang Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar

This research aims: analyze social capital in community development programs and to know the context of social capital in community development programs. This research uses a purposive sampling method with respondents consisting of 24 members of SPP PNPM Sungai Pinang. Data collection method in this research is primary data and secondary data. To determine the social capital in this research using a quantitative method using a questionnaire in the form of Likert Scale. From the research data showed that social capital in community development The results show that social capital in community development programs PNPM Mandiri is high with an average score 3.41 views from participation in networks, reciprocity, trust, social norms, values​​, and proactive action.Problems of social capital in community development programs is reciprocity, social norms, and actions that are proactive members. This is because most of the members of the SPP is still breaking the rules and less participate in group activities

Peran Penyuluhan dalam Pemberdayaan Petani Kelapa Pola Swadaya di Desa Igal Kecamatan Mandah Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir

The purpose of this study are: (1).To determine the implementation of agricultural extension in the village of Igal; (2).To determine the role of education and the empowerment of farmers in the coconut farm self pattern; (3) To analyze the relationship counseling role towards the empowerment of farmers. This research was conducted in the village of Igal District of Mandah Indragiri Hilr. The sampling method used is purposive sampling method with consideration that the location of its extension activities and the active oil production areas. 30 self-help coconut farmers were taken as respondents. Analyzing the validity and reliability of measuring instruments. Analysis of the data to answer the first goal is to use descriptive qualitative, the second destination using a Likert scale. On the third goal using Spearman rank correlation analysis. The results showed: (1).In the implementation of the extension such as the elements of counseling in the village of Igal quite done well. (2). The average role of counseling in the Village Igal Subdistrict Mandah Indragiri Hilir Regency already "Role". Where the activities "Role" there are 11 indicators of 21 existing indicators. While the"Quite Simply" there are 10 indicators of 21 existing indicators. The rest of the activities do not get the category"Very Less Action"or"Less Action". This shows that the extension activities in Igal Village,Mandah Sub District have been good for the coconut farmers in Igal village (3). Peran Penyuluhan dalam Pemberdayaan Petani Karet Pola Swadaya di Kecamatan Kampar Kiri Kabupaten Kampar

The purposes of this study are to know what the roles of who already run by agricultural extension in rubber cultivation. This study was conducted at Kuntu and Teluk Paman Village Kampar Kiri District Kampar Regency. The method was used survey method with the samples were 50 farmers of 50 farmers who received counseling. The result showed that role of education has been quite instrumental in activities of non-pattern rubber farming in Kampar Kiri district seen from education, dissemination, facilitation, consultation, supervision, monitoring and evaluation. The average value of the role of education is 3,30 (quite a role), dissemination is 2,60 (quite a role), facilitation with the score 3,28 (quite a role), consultation is 3,10 (quite a role), supervision is 3.06 (quite a role) as well as monitoring and evaluation are 2,83 (quite a role), so that the average overall role of education are 3,00 (quite a role). As for the empowerment of rubber farmers in the district of Kampar Kiri, which includes human resources, productive economy, and institutional power is enough. The average value of human resources is 3,20 (quite helpless), the productive economy is 3,11 (quit helpless) and institutional 3,35 (quite helpless ). So that, the average of the empowerment is 3,22 (quite helpless)
