    長所の自己開示が他者軽視傾向の低減に与える影響

    本研究では、参加者が自分自身の肯定的側面に含まれる強みを内省し、お互いに強みを認識しあうような 相互理解状況を経験することが仮想的有能感の中核をなす他者軽視傾向の低減に与える影響を分析した。大 学生・大学院生46名が3 ・4名から構成される集団実験に参加した。この実験では、参加者は過去の成功体 験に基づく自己の長所およびその長所を活かした将来の展望を記述するよう教示され、他者と開示しあうこ とを求められた。その結果、実験前の自尊感情と他者軽視傾向がともに高い参加者は、実験前の自尊感情が 低く他者軽視傾向が高い参加者よりも、他者軽視傾向の低減効果が有意に高かった。実験前の他者軽視傾向 が高く、実験中に生起したネガティブな気分が生起した参加者は、本研究の操作による他者軽視傾向の有意 な低減効果がみられなかった。In this study, we analyzed the effect of experiencing mutual understanding situation in which participants reflect on their strengths included in their own positive aspects and recognize each other’s strengths on reducing tendency undervaluing others that is the core of assumed-competence. Forty-six undergraduates and graduate students participated in a group experiment consisting of three or four people. In this experiment, participants were instructed to describe their strengths based on past successful experiences and future prospects that made use of the strengths, and were required to disclose with others. As a result, the participants who had high self-esteem and tendency undervaluing others before the experiment had a significantly higher reducing effect on the tendency undervaluing others than the participants who had low self-esteem and high tendency undervaluing others before the experiment. Participants who had high tendency undervaluing others before the experiment and a negative mood arose during the experiment did not show a significant reduction effect on tendency undervaluing others by the operation of this study

    Feasibility Study on Continuous Flow Controlled/Living Anionic Polymerization Processes

    A practical microchemical reaction system for keeping process flow at defined conditions, which is one of the key issues of industrial production, was developed. Controlled/living anionic polymerization was chosen as a test reaction because the molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of polymer products are quite sensitive to the relative flow rate of an initiator solution and that of a monomer solution. The polymerization of styrene in THF/hexane was carried out using a flow microreactor system consisting of two T-shaped micromixers and two microtube reactors using Smoothflow pumps at 0 °C. Poly­(styrene) with higher molecular weight such as Mn > 10000 could be synthesized using <i>s</i>-BuLi (Mn = 14 000, <i>M</i><sub>w</sub>/<i>M</i><sub>n</sub> = 1.11). <i>n</i>-BuLi could also be used as an initiator. The continuous operation was performed for 3 h without any problems to obtain ca. 1 kg of the polymer, indicating the feasibility of continuous flow processes for controlled/living anionic polymerization on a relatively large scale

    Difference in cesium accumulation among rice cultivars grown in the paddy field in Fukushima Prefecture in 2011 and 2012

    After the accident of the Fukushima 1 Nuclear Power Plant in March 2011, radioactive cesium was released and paddy fields in a wide area including Fukushima Prefecture were contaminated. To estimate the levels of radioactive Cs accumulation in rice produced in Fukushima, it is crucial to obtain the actual data of Cs accumulation levels in rice plants grown in the actual paddy field in Fukushima City. We herein conducted a two-year survey in 2011 and 2012 of radioactive and non-radioactive Cs accumulation in rice using a number of rice cultivars grown in the paddy field in Fukushima City.
