Proizvodnja i kvalitet mleka i mesa goveda i ovaca u uslovima održive proizvodnje
Basic principles that inform organic livestock production are reviewed in this paper, with special emphasis on milk and meat production in cattle and sheep. Research findings to date are presented on the impact of various management practices, both organic and conventional, as they effect product yield and quality. The importance of incorporating autochnochous breeds into organic milk and meat production systems is particularly emphasized. Additionally, a global overview of organic milk and meat production is given, along with an assessment of opportunities for implementing organic production systems in Serbia.U radu su prikazani osnovni principi organske proizvodnje u stoÄarstvu.
Predicting phase transition pressure in solids: a semiclassical possibility
This is a short review of the physical ideas, algorithm for calculations and
some results of a semiclassical theory of the behaviour of materials under high
pressure, proposed by P.Savic and R.Kasanin.The theory has found applications
from DAC experiments to studies of planetary interior structure.Comment: PDF file,no figure
UÄinak kratkotalasnog zraÄenja na soÄivo oka u pacova
The paper deals with the results of a study performed in three groups of rats exposed to microwave <radiation. Eighteen rats were irradiated locally (the right eye), 16 were totally irradiated and 22 served as controls. The activities of enzymes aldolase, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and sorbital dehydrogenase (SDH) in rats\u27 lenses were examined. In exposed rats the aldolase and LDH activities were found to be lower and that of SDH higher than in control animals.
Magnetic field dependence of the oxygen isotope effect on the magnetic penetration depth in hole-doped cuprate superconductors
The magnetic field dependence of the oxygen-isotope (^{16}O/^{18}O) effect
(OIE) on the in-plane magnetic field penetration depth \lambda_{ab} was studied
in the hole-doped high-temperature cuprate superconductors YBa_2Cu_4O_8,
Y_0.8Pr_0.2Ba_2Cu_3O_7-\delta, and Y_0.7Pr_0.3Ba_2Cu_3O_7-\delta. It was found
that \lambda_ab for the ^{16}O substituted samples increases stronger with
increasing magnetic field than for the ^{18}O ones. The OIE on \lambda_ab
decreases by more than a factor of two with increasing magnetic field from
\mu_0H=0.2 T to \mu_0H=0.6 T. This effect can be explained by the isotope
dependence of the in-plane charge carrier mass m^\ast_{ab}.Comment: 4 pages, two figure
Photoacoustic properties of single crystal PbTe(Ni)
Single crystals of PbTe(Ni) were investigated by the photoacoustic method. They were produced using the Bridgeman method. These crystals have a sodium chloride cubic lattice and could be cleaved paralel to the plane orientation (200). They were of the n-type. Phase and amplitude photoacoustic spectra were measured using a transmision detection configuration set-up. Photoacoustic (PA) spectra (single and normalized) were numerically analyzed using the Rosencwaig-Gersho model. Thermal diffusivity and some electron-transport parameters were determined. These results were compared with existing results for pure single crystal PbTe. Thermal difusivity of PbTe(Ni) is a bit higher than the thermal difusivity of pure PbTe. This is the consequence of a decreasing concentration of the majority free carriers in the doped alloy
PEG-ylated parenteral Nanoemulsions as prospective Carriers for enhanced Brain Delivery with Diazepam as a Model Drug - Physicochemical Characterisation
Parenteral nanoemulsions are regarded as biocompatible drug delivery systems for lypophilic drugs. When it comes to
delivering actives to the brain as a target site, prolonged circulation time is desirable. The objective of this study was to
conduct physicochemical characterization of PEGylated nanoemulsions as prospective carriers for enhanced brain
delivery, using diazepam as a model active substance for brain targeting. Nanoemulsions were prepared by high
pressure homogenization method and characterized regarding droplet size, zeta potential, pH, conductivity, viscosity
and in vitro release profile. PEG2000-DSPE and PEG5000-DPPE were used for PEGylation. All the formulations were
autoclaved and stored at room temperature. After 2 months there were no significant changes in physicochemical
parameters in autoclaved formulations which rendered them as good potential templates to incorporate drugs for brain
targeted delivery
Muon-Spin-Rotation Measurements of the Penetration Depth in the Infinite-Layer Electron-Doped Cuprate Superconductor Sr0.9La0.1CuO2
Muon spin rotation (mSR) measurements of the in-plane penetration depth
lambda_ab have been performed in the electron-doped infinite layer high-Tc
superconductor (HTS) Sr0.9La0.1CuO2. Absence of the magnetic rare-earth ions in
this compound allowed to measure for the first time the absolute value of
lambda_ab(0) in electron-doped HTS using mSR. We found lambda_ab(0)=116(2) nm.
The zero-temperature depolarization rate sigma(0)?1/lambda_ab(0)^2=4.6(1) MHz
is more than four times higher than expected from the Uemura line. Therefore
this electron-doped HTS does not follow the Uemura relation found for
hole-doped HTS.Comment: to be published in Physical Review Letter
