Interview 1. The Library Interview Series is a set of interviews with a variety of personnel involved with the planning and building of the new Jerry Falwell Library building. Lee Guetterman was born on November 22, 1958 in Chattanooga Tennessee. He attended Liberty University from 1977 – 1980 and played on the baseball team. He was drafted by the Seattle Mainers in 1981 and played professionally for 11 years

Dane Emerick was born on July 19, 1945 in Altoona Pennsylvania. He served in the navy and graduated from Washington Bible College. He came to Lynchburg to attend the Seminary in 1976 and soon after was hired as a dorm supervisor. In 1979 he became the Dean of Men for Liberty University and served in that position until he moved to the Campus Pastor’s Office in 2000. Mr. Emerick has spoken at several conferences held at Liberty University and has organized several foreign trips for students over the years

Sid Bream was born on August 3, 1960 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He attended Liberty University from 1978 – 1981 and played on the baseball team. He was drafted in 1981 to play for the Dodgers. He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates in the National League Championship Series of 1990 and was with the Atlanta Braves when they went to the World Series in 1991 and 1992

Allan Worthington was born on February 5, 1929 and grew up in Alabama. He graduated from the University of Alabama and played professional baseball from 1953 to 1969. Mr. Worthington coached the Liberty University baseball team from 1973 through 1980, mentoring several Liberty players who went on to play professional baseball

Interview 1. David Barnett was born on March 8, 1956. He grew up in central Florida and graduated from Piedmont Bible College in Winston-Salem. He got his Masters of library science degree from the University of Indiana and came to work at the Liberty University library in 1987. He has been the Dean of the library and the Vice President for Distance Education at Liberty. He retired in 2010

Randy Tomlin grew up in Lynchburg Virginia. He came to Liberty University in 1985 and played baseball on the Liberty Team. He was drafted by the Pirates in his junior year as a pitcher and played professionally in the big leagues from 1990 to 1994. He pitched in the National League Championship in 1991 and 1992

Interview 2. Elmer Towns was born on October 21, 1932. He attended Columbia Bible College and North Western College and graduated in 1954. He graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Th.M, and also earned a D.Min from Fuller Theological Seminary. Dr. Towns was the President of Winnipeg Bible College and taught at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. In 1971 he co-founded Liberty University with Dr. Jerry Falwell. Dr. Towns has authored more than 100 books and has written more than 2,000 articles. Currently Dr. Towns is the Dean of the School of Religion and of the Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary
