    Pendekatan Kontekstual Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematis Siswa SMP

    This study is part of a research report Contextual Approach To Improve Understanding Ability and Mathematical Problem Solving and Independence Junior High Student. This research is a form of quasi-experimental design with pretest posttest control group design that aims to examine the achievement of junior high school students\u27 mathematical understanding ability that uses contextual learning approach compared with normal learning. In addition, this research is also expected to improve the ability of junior high school students\u27 mathematical understanding as well. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Cimahi, while the sample is a class VIII student of one of the junior set purposively on SMP in Cimahi and randomly selected from an existing class VIII. Then from these samples were randomly assigned into experimental class and control class. Based on the results of the data analysis, we concluded that the Achievement and increase the ability of junior high school students \u27mathematical understanding obtain contextual learning approach is better than the achievement and improvement of students\u27 mathematical problem solving ability with conventional learning. Achievement and improvement of students who obtain contextual learning approach gets a great achievement while conventional classroom learning which is still lacking

    This research has purpose to analyze the ability of Mathematical Understanding of MTs students by using contextual approach. This research is a classroom action research with student population of MTs Nurul Hikmah located in West Bandung district and the sample is 18 students of class VIII. The instruments used in this research are cycle I and II tests (after giving the action); and the use of observation sheets for teachers and students as a measure of the conditions of action implementation.     This research aims to determine the ability of mathematical reasoning of students of class VIII SMP about the rectangular and triangular material. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. Subjects in this study were 30 students in one junior high school in Cianjur District. The reasoning ability reasoning instrument used is an essay form.     This study aims to obtain an overview of the mathematical creative reasoning abilities of the prospective teacher. The ability of mathematical creative reasoning in this study is the ability of students to justify a statement on the grounds of the truth of a statement that is based on novelty, plausible, and mathematical foundation. This research approach is qualitative using Grounded Theory. The population in this study were all students participating in the Calculus class of the Study Program Mathematics Education at one of the universities in West Java. In a while, the sample of 55 students was selected by a cluster random sampling technique. The results showed that students' mathematical creative reasoning abilities were categorized into three levels of ability based on the quality of the four categories, namely the initial step, the flow of completion, the related concepts, and the mathematical term errors

    Students must have the ability to understand mathematics because learning mathematics is not only about memorizing formulas and counting, but also about understanding concepts. The purpose of this study is to determine the mathematical understanding of students after the Covid-19 pandemic with quadratic equations. This type of research is qualitative with a population of 30 students and a sample of 10 class IX students conducted at SMPN 8 Cimahi. The instrument used is a mathematical comprehension test. The data obtained from the test results are processed in three stages, namely first data reduction (analysis of student answers), second presentation, and thirdly drawing researchers' conclusions. The results showed that 10% of students who have mathematical ability belong to the very high and very low categories, 20% belong to the high and low categories, and 40% of students belong to the medium category. This research shows that students' mathematical comprehension skills still need to be developed because students still do not understand the material and are not used to doing mathematical comprehension questions so they still make mistakes when solving problems

    This study aims to describe the mathematical communication skills of seventh grade students of West Bandung District Junior High School in understanding linear equations and one variable inequality. This type of research is qualitative research. Research subjects were selected based on even semester semester math report cards. Research subjects used in this study were 3 students selected from 15 students, namely one high-ability student, one moderate-capable student and one low-ability student. The results of this study were (1) Subjects with high ability in understanding Equation and the inequality of one variable reaches three indicators of mathematical communication ability that is to state mathematical problems related to Linear Inequality and Inequality One variable in the form of a story problem. stating the problem given in the form of mathematical models in the form of equations and solving them and stating a story problem into an idea or problem related to Equality and Inequality of one variable and can solve the problem, (2) Subjects with moderate ability to understand Equations and Inequality One variable reaches two indicators of mathematical communication ability, namely expressing mathematical problems related to equations and inequality of one variable in the form of story problems and expressing an image into an idea or mathematical problem related to linear equations and inequalities of one variable and the problem can be solved. And (3) Subjects with low ability in understanding Equations and inequality of one variable reach an indicator of mathematical communication ability which states mathematical problems related to linear equations and inequalities of one variable

    The ability of student teacher candidates is still low, one of which is understanding of statistical analysis. The purpose of this study was to develop a Tableau-assisted PJBL learning model to improve students' statistical analysis skills in basic statistics courses. This type of research is development (R&D) according to Thiagarajan's flow, namely 4-D (Four-D Models) with 36 students who teach basic statistics courses as many subjects. The instruments used were statistical analysis tests in the form of pretest and posttest, and student responses. Data analysis used is descriptive qualitative and descriptive statistics. The results of this study are: (1) The implementation of the PJBL learning model is proven to significantly improve students' statistical analysis skills in basic statistics courses with a Sig(2-tailed) value of 0.000<0.005, (2) the Tableau-assisted PJBL learning model is effective and easier to implement in basic statistics courses

    This study aims to determine the improvement of mathematical communication skills of junior high school students from the influence of contextual approach. This research takes the form of a posttest pretest design that compares the influence of a contextual approach with a conventional approach. This study has a population that is all students of SMP class VII in Cianjur District while the sample is a student of class VII SMP Plus Al-Ittihad Cianjur. The samples were taken at random into experimental groups and control groups. Based on the data in the field, it can be concluded that the effect of improving mathematical communication ability of junior high school students who gain learning using contextual approach is better than conventional learning. Therefore, the effect of improving learning with contextual approach is much better while conventional learning is still very less.Â

    This research is to find out the mathematical communication skills of VIII junior high school students about building a flat side space. This research method is a qualitative descriptive study. The subject of this research is 18 students in one junior high school in Bandung regency. The test instrument used is a description form. The indicator used in this study there are 5 indicators of mathematical communication ability, namely expressing ideas, situations and relations with images, expressing mathematical situations or everyday events into mathematical models, explaining and making questions of mathematical problems, low indicators only obtain an average percentage averaged 12%, based on the results of calculations using the Microsoft Exel application the overall student communication skills of these five indicators are still low below 50% which is only 44%

    PELATIHAN SOFTWARE WINGEOM UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI GURU DI KECAMATAN PANGALENGAN

    Community service is conducted in the form of a training workshop on the use of wingeom software for elementary, junior and senior high school teachers in Pangalengan District. The purpose of this service is to improve teacher competence in using learning software in the classroom, especially wingeom software. The location of the service was held at SMAN 1 Pangalengan, with a total of 51 participants. Researchers conducted initial observations by distributing questionnaires on the google form. The results of preliminary observations indicate that teachers in schools are still lacking in the use of ICT, especially mathematical software in learning. The teachers do not have the skills to use the software in learning mathematics. The lack of use of ICT is due to the teachers' lack of understanding of ICT, so that teachers have difficulty in operating mathematical software. This has encouraged the implementation team to conduct wingeom software training to improve the competence of teachers in the ICT field in Pangalengan District. During the wingeom software training, the teachers were very enthusiastic in following their activities from the beginning to the end of the training. Through the questionnaire at the end of the training it was found that the teachers could master the wingeom software and be able to apply the software when learning especially learning about geometry. Wingeom software training can improve the competence of teachers in Pangalengan District. Through this mathematics software training, the teacher has skills n teaching mathematics that is interesting and fun for students
