    This research aims to improve the vocabulary of students' English vocabulary and student learning outcomes using Rosetta Stone through Dynamic Immersion media. The Dynamic Immersion is an audiovisual method without translation, so it is hoped that the brains of students will immediately become accustomed to associating English words with visual images.After the instrument is declared valid and has a high level of reliability, the next step is to provide pre-test and post-test to both groups. The test given is a learning achievement test in the form of an objective test in the form of multiple-choice related to the vocabulary theme of singular and plural vocabulary which is done by students of the control class and the experimental class.Hypothesis testing is done to find out whether there is a significant influence on the Rosetta Stone media through the dynamic immersion method to the learning outcomes of Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Padangsidimpuan. Hypothesis testing in this study was conducted using a test analysis with analysis using the SPSS statistical program. The results of calculations from the t-test were 4.93 with Df = na + nb - 2, Df = 68, a significance level of 5%, then t-table = 1.99. So the result of the t-test is 4.93> 1.99. So, the t-test is bigger than the t-table. Based on the results, it means that there are significant differences in the post-test scores between the experimental group and the control group.Based on the decision-making basis of the independent sample t-test in this study, it can be concluded that the implementation of Rosetta Stone useful as a medium in teaching vocabulary mastery of seventh-grade students of SMPN 3 Padangsidimpuan. Keywords: vocabulary, rosetta stone, dynamic immersio

    A correlation between simple past tense mastery and writing spoof text ability: at the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1) Tingkat penguasaan siswa terhadap simple past tense di kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan, 2) Tingkat penguasaan kemampuan siswa untuk menulis spoof teks di kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan, 3) Apakah ada hubungan yang signifikan antara simple past tense dan kemampuan menulis spoof teks di kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan.Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. Sampel diambil dari populasi dengan menggunakan random sampling yang terdiri dari 44 siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Selanjutnya, instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah dengan memberikan tes kepada siswa. Setelah data didapatkan dari penelitian, data akan dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif dan statistik, r" Product Moment sebagai berikut:Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penguasaan simple past tense pada siswa mendapat kategori "cukup" yaitu 64,09 dan kemampuan penguasaan spoof teks siswa mendapat kategori "baik" yaitu 71,13. Setelah data diperoleh dari penelitian, data dianalisis, penulis mendapatkan hasil rxy = 0.957 dan r tabel adalah 0.304 pada tingkat signifikansi 5%, rxy lebih besar dari r tabel yang berarti bahwa hipotesis diterima

    Mucous membrane pemphigoid (MMP) is an autoimmune mucocutaneous blistering disease characterized by autoantibodies to components within the basement membrane zone. The lesions may produce risk of scarring of the cants (symblepharon), inversion of the eyelashes (entropion) and trauma to the cornea (trichiasis). We reported a case of MMP in a 56-year old female with controlled diabetes mellitus and hypertension whose ocular involvement has lead to blindness of the right eye. The diagnosis of MMP was based on the history and clinical findings in oral medicine department. Management of this patient included the administration of anti-fungal, corticosteroid, diaminodiphenylsulfone, nutritional supplementation oral hygiene promotion and consultation to internal medicine specialist and ophtalmologist. The improvement of oral lesions progressed well within five months. We conclude that optimal improvement can be reached by comprehensive management with controlling systemic factor and good cooperation between medical team and patient

    Transformation of literacy program implementation based on digital learning platform in the era of disruption in Indonesia

    The utilization of digital learning platforms is the real transformation of technology and information used in the era of disruption. This study aims to reveal how teachers and students respond to the use of digital learning palatform-based literacy programs at the elementary in Padangsidimpuan City, Indonesia. The research method applied was mix method with sequential exploratory approach which began qualitative and continued with quantitative research. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling method for quantitative and snowball sampling for qualitative research. Quantitative research data were taken from 5 schools with 150 students and 30 teachers. Techniques Data collection was carried out through the distribution of questionnaires for quantitative and in-depth interviews, documentation studies and observations for qualitative. The results shown that the results of quantitative research strengthen the results of qualitative research where the transformation of the use of online learning platforms gets good response from teachers and students. The use of online learning platforms consisting of whatsapp, drive, youtube, google classroom, and zoom via android could increase the effectiveness and efficiency of learning implementation.&nbsp
