The development of nanoparticles has been intensively pursued because of their technological importance. The magnetic nanoparticulate materials exhibit a series of interesting properties between which are mentioned the electrical, optical, magnetic and chemical properties. Magnetic nanostructures can be used in microelectronic and in medicine as in: magnetic memory storage, magnetic transport of biochemical complexes, magnetic resonance imaging, among others. The magnetic properties of nanoparticles there are very sensitive to its size and form. In this direction, many efforts they have been carried through with the intention of to control the form and distribution of the size of the nanoparticles. In the last few decades nanoparticles constituted by iron oxides had been studied. However, more recently, the focus of the researches has come back to others transitions metals. Amongst these, the cobalt comes being investigated due to its high magnetic susceptibility. In this context, the present article has the aim of to presents and to effect a comparative analysis of the more significant synthetic ways utilized in the present moment to obtain cobalt nanoparticles.Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP)Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento CientÃfico e Tecnológico (CNPq)Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de NÃvel Superior (CAPES
Preparation, characterization and electrochemical studies of dinuclear copper(II) complexes with pseudohalides and bidentate amines on platinum electrode in acetonitrile
Preparation, characterization and electrochemical studies of dinuclear copper(II) complexes with pseudohalides and bidentate amines on platinum electrode in acetonitrile
The complexes: [Cu(N 3) 2(N,N-diEten)] 2, [Cu(N 3) 2(tmeen)] 2, [Cu(N 3)(NCO)(N,N-diEten)] 2, [Cu(N 3) 2(N,N′-diMeen)] 2 and [Cu(N 3)(NCO)(tmeen)] 2 were prepared, characterized and their electrochemical behavior was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and controlled potential electrolysis. Cyclic voltammograms for all complexes studied are similar and exhibit one pair of current peaks in the range of -0.65 to +0.0 V. The number of electrons obtained from controlled potential electrolysis at ca. -0.55 V for all compounds was 1.8 ≤ n ≤ 2.1, indicating that both copper(II) metallic centres in the molecule were reduced to copper (I). Comparing the peak potential values for these complexes one can observe that the redox process corresponding to copper(II)/copper(I) couple is slightly influenced by the σ-basicity of the ligands. © 1997 Soc. Solution infrared spectroscopy investigation of copper (II) azide-complexes.
The structure of the two azide-complexes, [Cu(N-3)(2)(N,N-diEten)](2) and [Cu(N-3)(2)(tmeen)](2), N,N-diEten=N,N-diethylethylenediamine; tmeen=N,N,N',N'-tetramethyethylenediamine in solutions of acetonitrile, acetone, tetrahydrofuran, chloroform and dichloromethane, were investigated by infrared spectroscopy. The data show that the complex [Cu(N-3)(2)(N,N-diEten)](2) mantains its structure in solution, while that for [Cu(N-3)(2)(tmeen)](2) is modified
