New record of the spider crab, Dehaanius limbatus (A. Milne Edwards) from India
205-206Description of Dehaanius limbatus, collected from Karwar and recorded for the first time from India is given. Taxonomic status of Dehaanius as a genus has also been discussed, supported by larval evidence of D. limbatus described elsewhere
Laboratory culture of the spider crab, Acheus lacertosus Stimpson (Brachyura, Majidae)
185-188Though the genus Acheus of the subfamily Inachinae of the majid crabs is well represented in the Indian waters, larvae are not so far known in any of the members. The description of 2 zoeal and megalopa stages of Acheus lacertosus, reared in laboratory, forms the first account of metamorphosis in this genus from the Indian waters. Necessary comparisons are made of the present material with that of A. tuberculatus from Japan, the only other species in which the life history is known
