Background and Design: The relationship between food and atopic dermatitis (AD) is controversial. Atopy patch test (APT) gained prominence due to low specificity of “fresh prick tests” (FPT) with foods, commonly late occurrence of lesions in AD and, thus, the inconsistencies in anamneses, and being the provocative tests time consuming and risky, as well as due to the role of T lymphocytes in the pathophysiology of the disease. In this study, we investigated the relationship of APT and FPT made with food with SCORAD index assessing the disease severity.Materials and Methods: Forty-five children (21 males and 24 females) aged between 2-15 years who were diagnosed with AD in our outpatient clinic between May 2006 and May 2007 were included in the study. FPT and APT with eggs, milk and wheat flour were performed in all patients. The severity of illness was assessed using the SCORAD index. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS version 11.0 for Windows. A p value of less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant

The purpose of this innovative study is to produce energy from those 4 million passengers. This designed system will produce electrical energy from the passcngerpeople's kinetic energy while they are passing through the tollhars. This innovative way of thougt may be used for other passing systems like metro, universities.stadiums and so on. The tollbar has been designed with an additional part which have dynamo, cogwheels, lamp.charge mach inc and multimeter. The constructed system will produce electricity and accumulate it. Later the accumulated electrical energy may be used whenever needed

Simulation Based Optimization for World Line Card Production System

Simulation based decision support system is one of the commonly used tool to examine complex production systems. The simulation approach provides process modules which can be adjusted with certain parameters by using data relatively easily obtainable in production process. World Line Card production system simulation is developed to evaluate the optimality of existing production line via using discrete event simulation model with variaty of alternative proposals. The current production system is analysed by a simulation model emphasizing the bottlenecks and the poorly utilized production line. Our analysis identified some improvements and efficient solutions for the existing system

The supply chains construct the basis of this study as the assurance of production sustainability. Though manufacturing value chains are analyzed in detail, service chains are less studied because of difficulties in measures and information storage. Air transportation, an important service in globalization, runs on a major logistics supply chain that creates values for the passengers as an industry growing at pace. There is an absolute need to construct a framework to facilitate knowledge productivity in a collaborative knowledge management of the aviation value chain. This study has a framework built on the belief that the value chain does not work effectively unless partners have the equal or balanced benefits after any change. It was observed in the analyzed literature that “delay” appears to be the most important problem as both a cause and resulting problem in relation to the value chain partners and passengers. The disabled air passengers were detected as the actor due to the major role in delays. It is analyzed that solution for their interaction with all the partners will bring improvements in reducing delays. The framework is constructed in a few steps. Initially, the types of interaction within the supply chain are defined. The cognitive map, a qualitative technique useful for determining the deterministic decision problems is used to run a survey in the aviation industry. In the formation of cognitive maps, the questionnaire data were used obtained from the experts. The cognitive maps achieved show the interactions but do not include the possibilities and intensity of the interactions. That is why, Bayesian belief network, a powerful tool in modelling the reasons and their impacts were used. The formation of Bayesian networks was done by using Netica program. In the final stage the Expert System approach was used. The problematic interactions were taken into account and the relation and rules within the supply chain were specified and the alerts warning the system for the purpose of avoiding the problems were developed

A novel presentation of a supplemental premolar tooth with dens invaginatus and dens evaginatus and role of the CBCT in diagnosis

Dens evaginatus(DE) and dens invaginatus(DI) are rare developmental dental abnormalities. Though these variations in odontogenesis have been individually observed and reported, no case of concomitance of DE and DI in a supplemental premolar have been reported in the literature. For the clinicians, it is important to recognize these anomalies and to be knowledgeable about their management. The aims of this paper are to report the radiographic and tomographic findings of a novel case of DE with type II and IIIDI and to discuss the importance of early identification and efficient management of these anomalies

Any person who influences his/her connections is called an influential. Since companies have limited budgets for advertising, they have to correctly select the influentials, which will forward their message to their connections over the online social network. In this study, the problem of selecting the best influentials regarding different objectives and constraints are modeled. The influential selection problem can be modeled similar to the famous set covering problem. We propose a binary integer programming formulation to represent the influential selection problem. We propose various different solution techniques to obtain close-to-optimal solutions and carry out experimental analysis to determine the performance of the techniques proposed
