CONOCIMIENTOS, ACTITUDES Y PRÁCTICAS SOBRE VACUNACIÓN CONTRA EL COVID 19, DE LOS HABITANTES DE LA PARROQUIA EL VALLE. CUENCA 2022.

Antecedentes: a finales del 2019, el mundo entero se encontró con un virus desconocido, el SARS-CoV2, agente causal del COVID 19, que se propagó rápidamente, llegando a contagiar a 600 millones de personas y producir el fallecimiento de 6.8 millones de ellas. En Ecuador han reportado un total de 480720 casos de contagios y 21466 muertes hasta enero del 2022. El proceso de vacunación en nuestro país inició el 21 de enero del 2021, inicialmente con algunos tropiezos debido a una serie de percepciones ciudadanas. Objetivo: Identificar los conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas que tienen los habitantes de la parroquia El Valle - Cuenca sobre la vacunación contra el COVID 19. Metodología: investigación descriptiva, transversal, con un universo de 16431 habitantes mayores de edad de la parroquia El Valle y una muestra de 375 personas elegidos al azar. El nivel de confianza fue del 95% y un margen de error del 5%. Para la recolección de la información se aplicó una encuesta elaborada y validada por las autoras a un 2.66% de la muestra. Los datos fueron procesados mediante el software SPSS22; mismo de la cual se contaba con licencia. Los resultados se presentan en tablas simples y de contingencia. Resultados: 74.4% de la población estudiada posee conocimientos regulares sobre la vacunación contra COVID 19; 85.3% tienen actitudes desfavorables y 47.2% presentan prácticas adecuadas. Conclusión: los hombres mostraron mejores cifras de conocimientos, sus actitudes y prácticas fueron inferiores. Results: 74.4% of the studied population has regular knowledge about vaccination against COVID 19; 85.3% have unfavorable attitudes and 47.2% have adequate practices.
