Structural Understanding of Social Work Research

This paper considered social work research from the following three points. (1) The purpose and object of social work research. (2) Relevance of data and an analysis method. (3) Connection of the research purpose, a research question, and analysis method. The structure of research was illustrated from the contents of consideration, and it summarized to the following four points. (1) The researcher set up a "subject of research" by being conscious of "a phenomenon" as a problem about social work research. (2) The researcher collect required data by facing "a phenomenon" based on a "research question". (3) A researcher infers with reference to the "theoretical framework" relevant to social work, and draws a "conclusion". (4) By a "conclusion", the researcher solves a "research question", and sets up a new "subject of research" and "research question". In addition, this paper can be regarded as consideration about the scientific attitude to a social worker\u27s practice. A Consideration of the Child and Family Consultation System Strengthening Community Social Work

The consultation system is a base of community social work. We need to evaluate the effectiveness of this system, in order to aim at strengthening and fullness. It can be understood that the consultation system is a program which consists of four projects. They are (1) the arrangement of the consultation function, (2) the promoting of the community social worker\u27s competence, (3) the building and managing of a network, and (4) the organizational utilization of the consultation information. Content analysis is the research method and clinical tool useful to social work, which it premises understanding the quality and working contents in advance. It is useful in various areas, such as education, an investigation, and practice, as a means of analyzing practice records, reports, and the free-answers of a questionnaire. By using content analysis effectively, discovery of evidence concerning understanding of a user and practice knowledge is expectable. Rather than anything, it has possibility that the further practical use is expectable according to a research design, in that it can summarize in where it is easy to understand many text data in the area of social work
