Wildlife is one of the natural resources that have an important role in human life both in terms of ecology, recreation, economy, tourism, education and science. Extinction of birds in nature means the loss of natural resources by human presence is very valuable because it is where the bird needs to be preserved. The purpose of this study was to determine the diurnal bird species diversity in the area of Mount Ambawang fores Protected in sungai deras village of Kubu Raya district of West Kalimantan. Based on observations indicate that the path of the three habitats in the number of birds diurnal observations obtained at the study site 31 species . 17 habitats types encountered In Primary Forests with 740 individuals. In the 15 species encountered in secondary forest region with 568 individuals and 13 species encountered habitats About Rice fields with 735 individuals. The result of the calculation is known that the greatest dominance for the morning and afternoon there at about rice field early morning with a value of C = 0.1491 C = 0.1404 afternoon and evening there is a dominance index in secondary forest with a value of C = 0.1490 afternoon . The highest species diversity for each time of observation found in primary forest with morning values h = 1.1578 , p = 1.1777 and h during the afternoon = 1.2859. Similarity of the highest found in the forest area of the district Forest Primary Secondary with value = 43.75 % IS morning , noon IS and IS = 56.25 % = 62.50 % afternoon. Amphibians is one of all fauna constituent ecosystems and a part of biodiversity in aquatic habitat, terestrial and arboreal. The research aimed to determine diversity of amphibians species ordo Anura in the Gunung Semahung protected forest areas, Sengah Temila District, Landak Regency, West Borneo. This research has done on Februari 12th 2014 until Februari 30th 2014. The method used in this research is Visual Encounter Survey (VES) that combinated with track system by dividing three lines of aquatic habitats and three lines of terestrial habitats. The number of species found were 18 species from 6 family with total of 357 individual. Data analysis showed species diversity index (H) the highest value on aquatic habitats 0,957 and the lowest on terestrial habitats 0,690. For evenness index (e), the highest value on aquatic habitats 0.835 and the lowest on terestrial habitats 0,76497. And for similarity index between the aquatic and terestrial habitats by S = 0.4% that means 40% both of amphibians species in both habitats are same and 60% are different. Species abundance showed that has the highest value is Meristogenys phaeomerus by 21%. the greatest chance encounter is Meristogenys phaeomerus 2.111 individuals per hour, this species the most lots of encounter on aquatic habitat. Most amphibians that were found more likely to sit and be quiet activities and there are some who speak out and there is also a mating activity that is Meristogenys phaemerus. Keywords: Amphibians, anura, species biversity, Semahung Mountai

Forest City Gunung Sari has a potential that needs to be extracted and can be used for example to value the beauty that can be used as a tourist attraction. Bird was instrumental in building a tourist park because of its beauty is the value of voice and other fur. The beauty of birds of all he had to give a pleasure in itself. Based on the results of observations show that of the three habitats in the path of observation, obtained the number of diurnal birds have been found in the study site 18 species, classified into 13 families, namely : (Accipitridae), (Columbidae), (Aegithinidae), (Nectariniidae), (Dicaeidae), (Hirundinidae), (Estrildidae), (Psittaculidae), (Timaliidae), (Cisticolidae), (Passeridae), (Pycnonotidae), (Picidae). Primer forest habitats found in 13 species of diurnal birds, 12 species of secondary forest habitats and 9 species around the estate. From the calculation, the highest dominance index contained in the habitat surrounding forest plantations morning time C=0.1613, day time C=0.1458, and the afternoon time C=0.1264. While the species diversity index was highest in primary forest habitat value morning time =1.0531, day time =1.0397, =0.0260 late afternoon and secondary forest habitats have a high diversity index values in the morning with value of =1.0287. Habitat differences provide a clear influence of the dominant species, in which the dominance of this species is the opposite of diversity. Diversity of small species produce mastery of habitats, so that the dominance of the species will be spread more evenly due to the small number of species that might be the number of individuals to live and breed better. Orangutans classified in order of primates and including large mammal are arboreal wildlife. Based on CITES the species categorized in Appendix I, while based on IUCN into Endangered category and be fully protected by Indonesian law whose existence is more extinct. Belantikan Hulu forest area as a potential area for animals living, one of which is the orangutan but on the other also involves the use of the area by IUPHHK-HA PT. Karda Traders. The purpose of this research was to know the characteristics and density of orangutan nests, using a transect method with record the discovery orangutan nests along the 1 km. Characteristics nest obtained an average yield orangutan nests diameter is 43.38 to 68.74 cm, diameter trees used as nests about 21.23 to 50.40 cm, height from 8.25 to 17.38 m and a height nest tree used as a nest 10 to 19.75 m. Determinant coefficient values (KP) from regression analysis indicate found nest tree height has a significant relationship to high nest with a range of high nest, Determinant coefficient values (KP) from regression analysis indicate found nest tree height has a significant relationship to high nest with a range from high nest while the results from Mann-Whitney statistic test > 0,005 is not significantly different at the two locations. The position of nest most common positions 1 and 2, the nest class is found that the class C. Aglaia and Syzygium are two genera (genus) are most used as a nest tree C. Density of nest in ex logging area 2012 with a total 2954,14 nests/4km2, while ex logging area 2009 is 2023,38 nest/4km2, the value from nest density is influenced by the availability of feed orangutans and variations in diameter and height of trees in the area.
