Increasing the fire resistance of wooden structures is relevant because of their increased flammability. The article describes an experimental study using NEOMID flame retardant paint and silica powder as a flame retardant for wooden structures. According to the results of the experiment, a group of fire-retardant effectiveness of the tested fire-retardant composition was established with different methods of its use. © 2022, Association of American Publishers. The article analyzes the registered forest fires on the territory of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the period from 2018 to 2020. It is established that during the period under review there was an increase in the number and area of forest fires. The causes of most fires were natural (thunderstorms) and human factors. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd

Increasing the Fire Resistance of Reinforced Concrete Structures

    No full text
The disadvantage of reinforced concrete structures is their gradual destruction at high temperatures, above 250-300°C under the influence of fire, due to disturbance of cement binder structure. Therefore, the development of a fire-resistant composition for reinforced concrete is urgent. The article describes the study of tetraethoxysilane (TES) 6% and 10% as a fire retardant additive for sand-cement mortar, for building structures made of metal, the experimental study of sand-cement mortar using tetraethoxysilane 6% and 10%, with different methods of application to the metal is stated. An assessment of the effectiveness of TPP in interaction with sand-cement mortar is given. © 2022 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland
