Framework Untuk Menyusun Network Policy Pada Institusi Pendidikan

Untuk mencapai tujuan pengoptimalan jaringan komputer baik itu dari segi kinerjanya maupun dari segi keamanannya, network policy adalah salah satu bagian penting selain teknologi devices yang digunakan dan konfigurasi dari devices tersebut. Bahkan Teknologi devices yang baik dan konfigurasi yang baik pula, tidak akan optimal tanpa network policy yang sesuai. Saat ini banyak sistem jaringan komputer di institusi pendidikan belum optimal karena masalah network policy yang belum efektif dan efisien dalam menunjang kinerja suatu organisasi sebagai institusi pendidikan. Menyusun network policy di institusi pendidikan bukanlah pekerjaan sederhana, terlebih lagi user yang kompleks menyebabkan proses penyusunan menjadi semakin kompleks. Oleh sebab itu, paper ini memfokuskan pada masalah network policy, bagaimana menyusunnya, mengimplementasi, serta mengelolanya secara efektif dan efisien, agar tujuan pengoptimalan kenerja dan keamanan dapat tercapai

Effect of Garlic, Stinky Bean, Dogfruit, Tomato Extracts, and N-acetylcysteine on Rats after 5 Gy Irradiation

The formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and free radicals is the most important effect of radiation exposure on biological systems. Several studies have shown that several vegetables are proven to have beneficial effects to protect the body from free radical attacks. This current study was focused on exploring the capability of extracts of garlic, stinky bean, dog fruit, and tomato, as well as   N-acetylcystein (NAC), in counteracting free radicals induced by gamma irradiation with a dose of  5 Gy. Seven treatments on male rat were as follow: A (control),  B (5 Gy), C (garlic + 5 Gy), D (stinky bean + 5 Gy), E (dogfruit + 5 Gy), F (tomato + 5 Gy) andG (NAC + 5 Gy). The rats were irradiated 8 days after the supplement had been given. Detection of malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), catalase (CAT), and 8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine  (8-OHdG) was done by biochemical assays, and γ-H2AX foci were counted by immunofluorescence assay to the lymphocytes and plasma samples. The results showed that gamma irradiation with a dose of 5 Gy caused increases in the level of MDA, 8-OHdG, and γ-H2AX foci while decreases were recorded in the level of GSH, GPx, and CAT (p < 0.05). The treatment of garlic, dogfruit, and tomato extracts and NAC reduced free radicals significantly. In conclusion, the tomato has the best ability to overcome free radicals due to gamma irradiation among the treatments inthe experiment

Lahan Pertanian, Tenaga Kerja dan Sumber Pendapatan di Beberapa Pedesaan Jawa Barat

IndonesianBelakangan ini struktur perekonomian masyarakat pedesaan Jawa Barat telah mengalami Perubahan, dimana peran sektor pertanian memperlihatkan kecenderungan yang terus menurun. Sejalan dengan itu sektor non-pertanian telah mulai dirasakan sebagai sumber pendapatan yang penting bagi kelangsungan hidup keluarga petani. Penelitian ini telah mengungkapkan, bahwa baik petani tuna lahan, petani berlahan sempit, maupun petani berlahan luas, baik di daerah berlahan sawah, berlahan marjinal, maupun daerah sayuran/ternak, semuanya melibatkan diri dalam kegiatan USAha non pertanian. Luas lahan pertanian mempunyai hubungan yang kuat dan nyata terhadap tingkat pencurahan kerja dan pendapatan petani, dimana setiap pertambahan luas lahan sebesar 1 persen, maka tingkat pencurahan kerja keluarga meningkat sekitar 1,2 persen dan tingkat pendapatan bertambah hampir 2 persen. Suatu hal menarik dari penelitian ini adalah rumahtangga petani di daerah sayuran atau peternakan memperlihatkan tingkat produktivitas kerja lebih tinggi daripada di daerah padi, baik daerah padi lahan sawah, maupun daerah padi lahan kering. Sehingga dengan demikian tingkat pendapatan petani di daerah sayuran/peternakan tersebut secara nyata lebih tinggi daripada di kedua daerah lainnya

Sistem Informasi adalah data yang telah diproses dan memiliki banyak kegunaan. Dalam hal ini adalah data yang diberikan berupa sistem informasi perpustakaan yang digunakan untuk mempermudah melakukan peminjaman buku yang merupakan sumber dari ilmu pengetahuan.Pada Perpustakaan Umum Grati Kabupaten Pasuruan ini peminjam atau anggota bisa mendapatkan informasi mengenai koleksi yang tersedia diperpustakaan dengan mudah. Selain itu dalam proses peminjamannya yang semula dilakukan secara manual, sekarang dapat dilakukan secara komputerisasi. Dengan begitu proses peminjaman dapat dilakukan dengan cepat mudah dan terstruktur. Begitu juga dengan sistem pengembaliannya dilakukan dengan mudah, cepat dan efisien. Pembuatan laporan semula masih bersifat manual yaitu dengan cara melakukan rekapitulasi dari transaksi yang terjadi, setelah adanya sistem informasi yang kami buat proses pembuatan laporan tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan mudah. Dengan adanya sistem informasi ini dapat mempermudah proses pengembalian dan peminjaman buku serta dapat menghasilkan laporan yang lebih cepat dan akurat.
