Patient Satisfaction with Cardiac Rehabilitation

Background: The objectives of this study were to: (1) describe patient satisfaction with cardiac rehabilitation (CR), (2) test the psychometric properties of the Patient Assessment of Chronic Illness Care (PACIC) in the CR setting; and (3) assess the association of patient satisfaction with CR utilization and outcomes. Methods: Patients from one of 3 CR programs were approached, and consenting participants completed a survey. Participants were emailed surveys again 6 months, 1 and 2 years later. Results: Of 411 consenting patients, 247 (60.2%) completed CR. The mean PACIC score was 2.81.1/5. Internal reliability was =.95. The total PACIC score varied significantly by site, indicating discriminant validity. Patient satisfaction was significantly related to greater CR adherence and completion, greater functional status at CR discharge and 2 years post-intake, greater physical activity at discharge, as well as lower depressive symptoms at discharge and 1-year follow-up. Asymptotics of Transmit Antenna Selection: Impact of Multiple Receive Antennas

Consider a fading Gaussian MIMO channel with $N_\mathrm{t}$ transmit and $N_\mathrm{r}$ receive antennas. The transmitter selects $L_\mathrm{t}$ antennas corresponding to the strongest channels. For this setup, we study the distribution of the input-output mutual information when $N_\mathrm{t}$ grows large. We show that, for any $N_\mathrm{r}$ and $L_\mathrm{t}$, the distribution of the input-output mutual information is accurately approximated by a Gaussian distribution whose mean grows large and whose variance converges to zero. Our analysis depicts that, in the large limit, the gap between the expectation of the mutual information and its corresponding upper bound, derived by applying Jensen's inequality, converges to a constant which only depends on $N_\mathrm{r}$ and $L_\mathrm{t}$. The result extends the scope of channel hardening to the general case of antenna selection with multiple receive and selected transmit antennas. Although the analyses are given for the large-system limit, our numerical investigations indicate the robustness of the approximated distribution even when the number of antennas is not large.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures, ICC 201

Level of Job Satisfaction among Employees of Banking Industries at Bahawalpur

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to measure the factors affecting the employee satisfaction by discussing variables such as promotion, work environment, leadership and job satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach: Being descriptive study, survey method was adopted for data collection to find out the factors. A sample of 150 private and public banks of Bahawalpur was selected for the survey. Data was analysed by using Cronbach?s Alpha, correlation and regression in SPSS software. Findings: The independent variable promotion and leadership behaviour was largely correlated with dependent variable employee satisfaction. While work environment and job stress have less influence on employees job satisfaction. Originality/value: The paper reveals there exist relationship between the employee job satisfaction and factors affecting in the banks in Bahawalpur.
