Functional Relations in Solvable Lattice Models II

Reported are two applications of the functional relations (TT-system) among a commuting family of row-to-row transfer matrices proposed in the previous paper Part I. For a general simple Lie algebra XrX_r, we determine the correlation lengths of the associated massive vertex models in the anti-ferroelectric regime and central charges of the RSOS models in two critical regimes. The results reproduce known values or even generalize them, demonstrating the efficiency of the TT-system.Comment: 55 pages, harvmac, HUTP-93/A02

This paper presents the concept of the small satellites launched by the 1-1 launch vehicle of the National Space Development Agency of JAPAN (NASDA). On this concept, the missions of the small satellites are for the experiment and the validation of the earth observation. The satellite communications, and the others on orbit. For efficient achievements of these missions, the common satellite bus will be adopted for the solid launch vehicle J-I, in order to develop the each small satellite system quickly by low-cost

Prenatal diagnosis of Jacobsen syndrome with cystic hygroma

Jacobsen syndrome (JBS) is a rare, contiguous genetic deletion syndrome caused by partial deletion of chromosome 11q. It is difficult to diagnose JBS by ultrasonography during the prenatal period because it has atypical clinical findings. Although nuchal thickening is associated with JBS, cystic hygroma has not been previously reported in conjunction with this syndrome. We describe the first prenatal diagnosis of JBS with cystic hygroma, which was clinically diagnosed at 13 weeks gestation in a Japanese woman, although it had not been detectable at the 11th week of gestation. In addition, a single ventricle fetal heart defect was suspected. Amniocentesis was performed, and G-banded karyotype evaluation revealed 46,XX,del(11)(q23), which is consistent with JBS. Cystic hygroma and congenital heart malformation have been reported to be associated with chromosomal anomalies. The present case indicates that a fetal cystic hygroma without increased nuchal thickness might be associated with JBS

Abstract: The research was carried out under field conditions at Epagri - Experimental Station of Caçador, SC, Brazil, during the growing seasons 2006/07 and 2007/08, to evaluate the effect of potassium (K) fertilization on tomato yield under no-till system. The experimental design was CRB, with five replications. The treatments of K2O, as KCl, were 0, 150, 300, 450 and 600 kg ha-1 in 2006/07 and 0, 200, 400, 600 and 800 kg ha-1 in 2007/08. The MEE of the marketable tomatoes in the growing season 2006/07 was with the application of 464 kg ha-1 of K2O. The MTE for total, marketable, and extra AA yields was achieved with the K2O doses of 428, 475 and 550 kg ha-1 in 2006/07, and 625, 484 and 593 kg ha-1 in 2007/08. In 2007/08, the positive response began with the application of about 50 kg ha-1 K2O. In the growing season 2007/08, the yield of extra AA tomatoes increased substantially by increasing potassium application.

Abstract: The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of N doses on yield and quality of tomato fruits in a notill system. The research was carried out at field conditions in Epagri - Experimental Station of Caçador, SC, Brazil, during the growing seasons 2006/07 and 2007/08. The treatments were set in a CRB design, with four replications. Treatments were six doses of N, as ammonium nitrate, being 0, 125, 250, 375, 500 and 625 kg ha-1 in 2006/07 and for 2007/08 to 0, 150, 300, 450, 600 e 750 kg ha-1 in 2007/08. The total, commercial, extra AA and extra A, tomato yields followed a quadratic model in response to N rates in the 2006/07 crop. However in 2007/08 there was a linear effect. The maximum technical efficiency (MTE) and maximum economic efficiency (MEE) for commercial fruit yield in 2006/07 crop were obtained with N rates of 555 and 546 kg ha-1. For the average mass of extra AA fruits; commercial fruit production in relation to total production and; production of extra AA fruits in relation to commercial production in 2006/07 crop, there was a quadratic fit with increased levels of N applied, and their maximum points with 478, 486 and 557 kg ha-1 N, respectively, that is, next to the doses of MTE and MEE for commercial fruit yield.
