Several plants are there which are absolutely unknown to the world but have enormous medical values in curing certain diseases. This paper aims to identify the medicinal values and importance of some of those plants which can cure some diseases which are chronic as well as can be difficult to be cured in certain cases. Four such plants, viz., Alangium salvifolium, Argyriea nervosa, Hygrophila auriculata and Oroxylum indicum are chosen to detect their pharmacological values against certain diseases alongside their ayurvedic, ethnobotanical and traditional values. Their pharmacognostical characteristics are also discussed and the phytochemicals which are so far investigated by certain studies are also been discussed. Molecular studies such as docking, LC-MS, GC-MS detections of biochemical compounds are also discussed in this paper. It is seen that every plants have certain ayurvedic uses as each parts of these plants can be applied tropically or may be used as decoctions or as pastes or can be orally consumed to cure diseases. Pharmacognostical studies reveal the microscopic, macroscopic as well as the other physical factors of different plant parts. Pharmacologically these plants in certain doses are capable of curing arthritis, inflammations, sometimes can be used as anti-cancer and anti-ulcerative agents and in many other diseases including diabetes. LC-MS, GC-MS studies and other studies revealed the presence of certain phytochemicals and biochemical compounds such as flavonoids, fatty acids, esters of fatty acids, carbohydrates, amino acids and several other compounds. This paper also aims to find out the future scopes of research on these plants where scientists can work towards fulfilling it for betterment for mankind

Dna Barcoding Of Few Indoor Plants And Molecular Characterization Of Its Symbiotic Bacteria

The health benefits of indoor plants are widely explored now a days and methods of psychological assessment are explored. In this regard we have collected few indoor plants and authenticated them to further investigate for its symbiotic relationship with bacteria. As traditional taxonomic studies possess intrinsic limitations with plant species identification, combinations of DNA barcodes have been considered a powerful tool to discover undetected genetic variation within species across large geographic areas, providing more precise estimates of biodiversity. Therefore, many genes have been targeted for DNA barcodes as standardizing regions is vital for identifying them efficiently and discriminate the plant species. In this study, we targeted different genes such as ITS2, matK, RbCl2 and PetB for sequencing. The plants were identified as Draceana senderiana,Pandanus sanderi and Hylotelephium ewersii. Once the species are authenticated they were further used to identify its bacterial relationship. The symbiotic bacteria present in roots were identified as Acinetobacter calcoaceticus and Pseudomonas stutzeri. This information will further help in exploring the properties of bacteria which are involved in enhancing the overall growth of plants

Plants and their importance in the field of medicine go hand-in-hand since the ancient Vedic ages when Ayurveda and the other forms of treatment have come into existence. Each and every part of these plants possesses disease curing properties and is used in different forms to treat number of diseases. This paper aims to shed a light on the medicinal value of few of those plants which are used in treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis in traditional system. The plants that are selected for discussion are Cardiospermum helicacabum, Kiraganelia reticulata, Pongamia pinnata, Scoparia dulcis, Urena Lobata and Vitex negundo. The taxonomic classification along with its ayurvedic properties, ethnobotany, traditional uses that includes medical as well as day to day usage of the plant parts, pharmacognostical studies, phytochemical investigations and the pharmacological evidences along with molecular aspects are discussed in this paper. Each of these selected plants and every parts have various ayurvedic properties and are traditionally valuable, the physicochemical, microscopic and macroscopic factors also have huge importance, Several biochemical compounds, elements, fatty acids, proteins and amino acids are found to be present and pharmaceutically each of these plants have antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-arthritic, anti-diabetic and various other properties which suggests the medical science can evolve and improve more with these plants in use in different preparations, which can be cost-effective, as well as devoid of side effects and would be beneficial to the medical world
